i am surprised how your desktop can run MW2 on mid-high setting with 120 FPS ! you CPU is not that powerfull , even your GPU is Mid-range ...

on topic : do what "CuRle_" told you

To reply to both you and CuRie_ V-Sync is off, and in a game like MW2, 60fps and 120 make a huge difference to my gameplay.

Lol, it's all in your head. I highly doubt your laptop has a 120Hz display. Even if it did, 60 to 120 fps would not make a huge difference, it would be barely noticeable.

I'm not trying to start an argument or debate, but I never said it's 120Hz, its only 60Hz. Thanks for trying to help mate, i guess it's in my head, I just gotta get used to it then.

But woomar, you are right, my desktop is not the best desktop, but it CAN run MW2 with 120 FPS, (if your wondering, Dirt 3 only gets only about 40 fps in mid, and it runs ok). What I don't get is, why does my laptop limit itself to 60 FPS, and i do mean limit. never goes to 62+.

I wiil get right into this.

So I have 2 computers, ones a desktop, and the other is a laptop. I play MW2 on them both, the desktop can run the game on mid-high settings at a constant 120 FPS, the laptop however is limited to 60 FPS even at the lowest settings.

Desktop specs:

Duo core @ 2.10GHz

2GB RAM, Nvidia 9500GT, Windows XP SP3.

Laptop specs:

Core i3 @ 2.10GHz

4GB RAM, Radeon HD 6470M, Windows 7 Home-Basic 64 bit.

My laptop is far greater than the desktop in every way, but why does the FPS limit to only 60?

If there's more talking than action, then yes.
