[QUOTE="Rhazakna"]Depends on whether or not they target civillians.Rhazakna

There are more US induced civilian deaths than saddam's or militant group's

That has nothing to do with what I said. If a soldier kills a civillian in war, it's murder. No matter what side that soldier is on.

So then the US is linked to many war crimes...yet how many go trialed?

The government doesn't treat civillian deaths as war crimes. It's collateral damage, according to the state.

What about intentional killings. What about US humvees ramming into other traffic in order for them to move over to the side. So if im using the correct term of terrorism that would mean since rear ending a car in order to move to one side. This is using fear in order to commit an action. The fear is being run off the road or furthur damage to a vehicle.

Quote it then its known by everyone that the iraqi death toll is well above 650 000 civilians(estimate from 2006).

I think you don't check your own sources.

A team of American and Iraqi epidemiologists estimates that 655,000 more people have died in Iraq since coalition forces arrived in March 2003 than would have died if the invasion had not occurred.

Really now? I also thought that these people would have died if the invasion hadn't occured, I mean, who knew? It's such a good point.

ok sorry i didnt read it but heres one that looks like the right one

Yeah but its not our job to police the world. We have problems at home we need to take care of. We shouldn't have rushed in on iffy intel and without a larger support group of countries. TheKurds might like us there but I'm sure the people in Darfur would like us to have been there, or hell the people of New Orleans could of used some help from the national guard troops over there.mamakos84

Im fairly sure no body wants the USA to police the world. Its like a officer in the military promoting himself to chief of army staff.

[QUOTE="superheromonkey"]For all the people who say "Why Iraq?" Why not Iraq? Are there other dictators in the world who are crazy? Yes! There are other countries who we knew were developing WMDs that we could have invaded? yes. However, please remember that Saddam had been playing hide the sausage with the weapons inspectors for a decade. Saddam was crazy. Regardless of what you think about the mistakes going in and handling it, those soldiers are over their trying to offer democracy aka Feedom to a country with you a** holes over here claiming they are dying for nothing. They died as heroes, and we need to finish the job in their honor. I try to be understanding most of the time, but i am ashamed to consider some of you people fellow americans. superheromonkey

Just b/c we view this war as accomplishing nothing or next to it, doesn't make us a*******. A lot of people have died over something that could have easily been avoided, or at the very least better prepared

I agree it should have been better prepared and we did run into it without really thinking it through, but there is still a cause. I'm as pissed at Bush as anyone about it. However, when you say a soldier died for nothing i take offense, especially considering my brother is a marine officer. Ask one of those civillians of Iraq that voted if it was for nothing, or ask a kurd.

exept you killed over 650 000 civilians(2006 estimate)

Wrong.

Most Iraqi insurgents aren't even Iraqi, so by your definition they are not freedom fighters.

They are also not supported by most Iraqi civilians, and are killed indiscriminately by them.

The_Ish

If you dont know the largest militant group at the time is the Islamic Party. Which is a 100% iraqi force without any foreigners(not even other arabs)

Bull**** claim.

Saddam killed a lot more of his own countrymen and others than the US had during the war.
