Oh Yeah! You forgot to mention that it's FREE! Not like XBL where you haft to buy the wallpapers $$$, can we say mega milkage!

You can use images that are already existing on your PC for that. You don't have to pay for that functionality. Hope that helps and congrads on your future purchase of an Xbox 360. -Days Airlines.

I own one! Gamertag=FW WillKills M

Seriously dont talk to me til you have taken classes on game development or uses the program maya.Pope_3000

I'm so suprised how many people in system wars dont really know how a game is made... take a simple class on the software Maya and you will be enlightened.

Pope_3000
You just basicaly owned yourself in what you just said! If the class is so easy then why does the game look the way it does after being in development for over a year and already in Beta? Also don't you think that these Pro-Developers would not have a problem then? So what's the problem!? Why can't they improve it already? If you can supply a credible source, good....If not you fail!

I'm sorry, but I disagree with you. IMO the graphics will improve slightly if any improvement at all, there are many many games that where in Beta before Halo 3 and when they where released....guess what?! The graphics had no change, only gameplay. People like you don't understand the concept of putting a game in a Beta test. It's to work out the bugs in gameplay and add or take out things that will help the gameplay! So to sum it all up, yes the game is pretty much gonna be just as you see it. If I'm wrong then it looks like I will rent it and try it out then, but if it's the same then it's not worth my money.

Thanks! I was going to install vista 64bit, but I'll wait until they work out the major bugs they got. I heard it sucks for gaming.

Rate my rig!

Intel core 2 duo E6600

EVGA Nforce 680Sli Skt 775 Atx board

QTY. 2 Western Digital / Caviar SE 16 / 250GB / 7200 / 16MB / SATA-300 / Hard Drives

Ultra / X-Finity / 800-Watt / ATX / Dual 80mm Fans / SATA-Ready / SLI-Ready / Active PFC / Power Supply

CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit

EVGA 8800GTX standard

I just built it today, after I got the rest of my parts from New Egg!

alvarocks

Pretty average high end system. 8/10

Yeah you could say average yet it will play every single game maxed out and for quite a long time. 8800ultra is a waste and so is quad core. Ive seen CPU tests between the two and they are not that derastic.

I second Killfox on that. Most of these new technologies are good for people that have applications made to make use of multiple processors and multiple gpus. The avarage gamer has games like CoD2, WoW, CoH, Supreme Commander, etc. That have yet to make use of the power these new rigs can pack.

Even though, you sure have a good system that will last for quite a bit, now that's something I would like to have.

Therefore, until you see a Game [Crysis, I think] or application [3Ds Max 10 or AutoCAD 2007] that supports these beast from the ground up, you will not see their true performance.

Nice PC you got there, have you overclocked it yet?

Not yet, I'm pretty sure I won't overclock the 8800GTX card because I don't want to void the manufactures lifetime warranty I got with it. Also I might be getting another card and run it in SLI mode soon anyways. As far as the cpu it has 3 years.

heard there is bad driver support for 64bit version of vista, and any other info about which is better would be welcome

trying to decide which to get

and whats the catch with vista OEM's, why are they so cheap

and is this both 32 and 64bit? how does that work?

vista newb , thanks for help, need the best vista for gaming rig use

btw leaning towards vista home basic of some sort, seems best for gaming, less junk

Arch_Demonz
Well the 32 bit is the way to go right now because the support and drivers for the 64 bit are horrible for gaming. The reason the OEM's are so cheap is because you don't have the option to install one or the other (32 or 64) because you are only buying the 32 or 64 bit version. Unlike the retail that has both versions on one disk.

It was linked to people who: 1. had to little charge on their controler 2. Were to far away (Bluetooth is a close range tech) 3. Or were using tech which messed with the signal like wifi for example.teebeenz
I'm not using WiFi.
