thanks for all yur replies, i was genuinly curious as to how ppl percieve trophies on the ps3. seems mainly you either love em or hate em. for me its a love/hate thing. esp as half of my games are old an'd don't have trophies, thus psycologicaly in MY mind come further down my playlist. its a damn shame. they are here to stay whatever happens as too many ppl scream for them even in old games. (me?) and on that note i'm off to play waw as it has easy ones i can get. (am loving the game too, only got it the weekend). peace.
yeh i`ve had freezes on my 40g aug 08 model with various games at various times. nothing to worry about.. ......ffzzzzzzzzsssstt. pffffffffff....PoP!.........BOOOOOOOOM!
Personaly I don't even check the list untill after i`ve played the game thru at least once (on hard difficulty- if i can (never elite if there is 4 options ^^ )) I want to see what i can get without looking before i try for certain ones after complete! lol tho' i'm getting crapper at getting the tuffer ones in my old age!
Sony says that horizontal is the most healthy way for the PS3, but it really is up to you.
Make sure you've got 1 foot of room on all sides though, so it can breathe.

where? I wrote to sony and asked about this as i lost a horizontal ps3 and wanted to know what would be best. son'ys official reply to me was that the ps3 is "DESIGNED" to stand on its side or lie flat. there is no better way according to thier e-mail they wrote me. some theories suggest better air flow vericaly. personaly i've had mine upright for the last 8 months fine. i figure as the fan is in the base that part could do with as much cool air around it as poss. but as i said, sony said it was designed to go both ways so it shouldn't matter!
my many years of gaming and retail experience has taught me that indeed the ps3, with its far superior price tag - better technical brilliance, better looks and sleeker design is indeed the daddy over the 360
there are 2 types of 360 owners.
Those that can afford a ps3 - these don't generaly slate sony
those that can't afford a ps3 - these say how crap sony and its ps3 are.
