Oh sry, i should have been more specific. It switches to a blue screen and tells me to reboot.
I just finished downloading the drivers for my nvidia card but the latest drivers for my intel chipset were 2 years old. Something tells me that didnt help.
On a side note, i disabled BIOS caching but i wasnt able to locate anything that said shadowing.
But i'll try checking for memory defects and any overheating issues. ill check back in a little while.
I know i should download new drivers when my computer shuts off randomly. question is, which ones do i need and how do i find them?
I already downloaded my nvidia drivers but thats about it. do they release drivers for mobos or anything else that i need?
oh man, i dont even know where to begin lookin for that. i havent seen it since i moved.
is there anything else i might able to do? the stop message screen says i should upgrade my drivers. is that talkin about my gfx drivers or something else? and where would i go to download them?
oh, and it says i should disable BIOS caching/shadowing, how do i do that?
Now i know all computers will eventually run slower than when they first got it, but my question is why? I have a 250 gb hard drive but now im down to 40 gb and it has slowed down considerably. Can anyone explain to me in layman's terms how this affects overall computer speed?
And also, what tips do you guys have to speed up your computers? I mean, I run disk cleanup every now and then and try to delete some old programs but what else can you do?
My problem is that starting yesterday, my computer has been shutting off randomly. It happened when i opened any folders on my desktop and sometimes for no apparent reason at all. Im clueless on what to do. Ive tried using system restore but thats about all ive done.
Is there anyone who has any suggestions on what i should do to fix this?
