I love the setting, but From's games always have aspects that are downright unfair and deeply flawed. Plus, I'm over the whole "whack this thing 8,680 times and then it might finally keel over" trend in video games these days. A shame too, the game is pretty, I admit - but it's a no from me, dog.
It is sad that artistic freedom is held hostage by extreme interest groups in this age. Diverse stories and characters are wonderful, and I welcome having those in all forms of media - but a writer or artist’s personal creation and/or design should never be forced to change nor should an apology be forced when nothing clearly has been done wrong. Storytelling is the embodiment of freedom- I hope we keep it that way.
I would be fascinated to see what kind of game they could produce that would be a departure from some of their recent titles. They possess an interesting creative team, would be cool to see them tackle a different genre.
@Devils-DIVISION: I totally agree. I always love the art styles of From games, but the game play gets too repetitive. This game just looks like Dark Souls in Japan to be honest.
@Thanatos2k: I totally agree, I don't think an mmo is what Amular should do - it was a fantastic IP all on its own as it was. It needs a direct sequel, I am so glad a studio picked this franchise up.
