@01_855403 Perhaps you should take another look at the article. They never blamed gamers. The author hints that the constant waves of negativity could have influenced Ray and Greg leaving, but they themselves did not say that.
I don't believe that there is a connection with real violence and video games, but I do believe that there is a large portion of the population who do have an image issue with video games. It would be a tough task to shine light on those who have already cemented their opinions on how video games are not safe, but that is exactly why I think the video game industry should take a look at the effects of games on people, and to support rules that enforce not selling Mature games to minors. It would be the mature, responsible, and moral thing to do, but also it would show people that game players, and the game industry do want to participate in this serious discussion of violence, and that we are not ignoring the issue, or that we are also playing the game of pointing fingers.
