A quick google search turned up play-asia and amazon. There are also some less than legal options. Really though, just google "crisis core soundtrack."

Or were you looking for an actual store to go and buy it in person? If that is the case then I don't know.

Birth by sleep is a ways away. Get Crisis Core. It received a high score not because it is part of the FFVII franchise, but because it is actually a great game.

Still have Chrono Cross. I like that music a lot too. Both composers are great.

It is usually my bedroom when I am getting ready in the morning, so they are good enough.

Its like a combination between kingdom hearts and FFXII. Think of KH with a hint of turn-based. You run around the battlefield so it is action, but your commands take time to engage like a turn based system. You also do not string combination attacks like KH, each attack is one at a time, like FFXII. See what I'm saying?

Chronologically, I know that Crisis Core comes before FFVII.

But think of Star Wars. It's obviously better to watch the Prequel Trilogy after the Original Trilogy (never mind the quality issues of the PT), even if you knew who Darth Vader really was.

My question has to do with the dramatic impact of which order to play each game. I ask because I want to play FFVII eventually.

mjarantilla

You have the right idea, play FFVII first.

Everyone in this topic, and similar topics about God of War, seem to miss the point of what a prequel is.

It does not matter what order the games occur chronologically. YOU GET MORE ENJOYMENT FROM A PREQUEL IF YOU WATCH THE MOVIES OR PLAY THE GAMES IN THE ORDER THEY WERE RELEASED. Is it really that hard to comprehend? There is a reason games come out in the order that they do.

Mjarantilla, you know what you are talking about, stop asking the people here. Play the games in the order they were released to get the full "dramatic impact" as you put it.

I like my ipod for personal use, but if I want to have a friend listen to a song, or listen while moving around my room, the PSP has speakers and is more convenient.

Pretty decent song.

As for the rest of the replies, I have found that a lot of people who like final fantasy seem to worship Nobou Uematsu. He is a great composer no doubt, but not the best in the business. Seriously, you all need to go play Chrono Cross and check out what Yasunori Mitsuda has to offer.
