Using my hdtv as a monitor, i can play skyrim and a lot of other games fine but when it comes to battlefield 3 the mouse alignment is off. its only off on fullscreen mode, i have to set it to windowed mode and the alignment is fine.
it also occurs on a very few other games, any way i can fix this?
You guys say ghosting and stuff. Well i currently play on a 26 inch panasonic lcd 720p, and i sit about 5 feet from it. The text is a bit small, but i can type and read this with no strain. Although it wouldnt hurt to be bigger. I made it my goal to get in between a 40 and 46 inch. I dont really have 3000 dollars to drop on a 3d tv although it would be nice. But i currently play skyrim and bf3 on my current crappy tv and i cant see any problems whatsoever...
The samsung is a brand people speak highly of, however is 30 dollars more, and only 40 inch. Whereas the spectre ( a brand ive never heard of) is 409 dollars and a 42 inch screen... it has good reviews. Which do you think I should order? My budget is about 400 to 440 and thats it.
I know little to nothing about this, i currently have a 26 inch lcd tv 720p and its only enjoyable if i scoot my comp chair about 3 foot from the tv. So black friday is rolling around and theres a killer deal on a 46 inch lcd 1080p. Would a 46 inch be too big to enjoy most games? Are there any problems or issues i should watch out for when choosing a TV as a monitor? (like bigger the tv, bigger the strain on the graphics card etc.?) just theorycrafting and assuming since i have no idea what to do.
Not knowing that the back of my computer had an HDMI input, i bought a dvi to hdmi cable at best buy. Should i take it back for a hdmi to hdmi cable? What would the difference be? Im new to this and this is the first time ive tried it.

Okay well maybe I formatted my question incorrectly.
Here's the site I was looking at when the question arose: http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/ati-radeon-hd-5000/hd-5870/Pages/ati-radeon-hd-5870-overview.aspx
I just got that graphics card and completely new build except for my monitor which is 1680x1050 and not HDMI capable. The graphics card says HD and I was just wondering if I should buy a HD capable monitor or not.
After reading all of your comments though it seems you can't really tell HD from non-HD. Just wanted to clarify though.
