Death note is a fantastic anime!!! I love it!! And since the first time I saw it, I knew that sooner or later, there would be a Death Note game for DS, and now it's finally here!! (well, there, in japan, not here).

As the name implies, there's a notebook which is critical to the plot, so it makes sense that this game is for DS. However, I really doubt that it will ever make it stateside, since I'm almost certain that a main component of the game is about hearing someone's name, and then write it (in kanjis) in the notebook. So, in order to localize it for the american market, they should have, not only to translate the text, but also the voice acting, and we all know that it's pretty uncommon that a japanese game gets english voice acting when localized, and it's even less likely for a handheld game (the only exception so far being Megaman ZX Advent).

So, I bet it's a great game, but as nearly every anime-based japanese game, it won't make it to our store shelves... Too bad

Edit: In response to your signature: If I ever found a Death Note, the very first name I would write in it would certainly be "George W. Bush"! (and maybe next "Manuel Marulanda Vélez").

take a look at this:

Google TiSP

Read it carefully and then post your comments here!

UPDATE 1: I know it's a bit late, but it's still in there, and the forums about this topic at Google, com are open for anyone to post.  But, as of yet, no one has said good or bad. I just wanted to know what do you think about it, not if it's old or what.

Well, you maybe right. And as for Portrait of Ruin, Do not worry.  PoR does not have any touch controls, save your logo creation, warp point choice and menu interactions, but they are optional and can be done via the d-pad.

Well, I remember myself playing many multiplayer games while drinking and partying, so I guess any good multiplayer game would be nice to play while hammered, no matter the system.  However, since most Wii games require precise motions or just hectic waving around, any heavy motion-centric game would be nice.  Maybe Wario Ware and Wii sports are the best choices, and playing with another three drunk-asses, waving around the remotes has to be the hell of a fun!! I'll give it a try as soon as I can!! (although I do not drink much these days).

Do you remember how many RPG's were released for the Nintendo64? Well, there were exactly three, and two of them were terrible (Paper Mario, Quest 64 and Aydin Chronicles), but that fact did not hampered N64 sales.  In fact, it was a huge sales success (not as big as te PS, but was huge anyway) even after FFVII was cancelled and eventually released for PS.  My point is that loads of RPG's won't make a console better, nor a lack will make it bad.  Anyway, expect many developers to announce RPG's for Wii during this year (remember that MistWalker, Hironobu Sakaguchi's company, already announced one).

Note: Just in case you don't know.  Hironobu Sakaguchi was the creator of Final Fantasy and he directed and produced more than 25 major RPG's during his time in Squaresoft.
