@barrel224 I'm guessing by you're lack of spelling ability and love of Starcraft that you are Korean?
Guys, if he is Korean, Starcraft is a legit way to settle disputes :P I'm going to an international school right now, and that's how the Koreans roll here.
@allied129 Well yeah, Apple could make it released to be installed on any computer, but I'm sure it would be a $500 operating system... Which is significantly more than Windows. And then when you get a new computer, that OS will be obsolete, so you will want a new one, which will be more than a new copy of Windows.
Windows isn't priced too bad in reality. Xbox LIVE marketplace policies are a bad joke though.
I would believe that the ps3 does attract more adults. PS3 struggled this gen, as much as I love the system, that's true. Most people who bought PS3s were Sony fans who had previously owned a PS2 and a PS1 before that.
Yes, PS1 had many E-T platformers. That system did have more of a focus on the children demographics. PS2 had fewer E's and more T's, and a few M's, which were definitely aimed at an older userbase than PS1. PS3 continues this trend even further. Look at all the exclusives that have come out on PS3, the vast majority of them are rated M. I'm not saying that 12 year olds don't play these games, but they are definitely intended for an older crowd.
Xbox also has these games, but as for ratio of people I know with Xbox vs PS3 (but not both) most of the xbox users are children and most of the PS3 users are adults. I personally own both consoles, and I do find that I use the PS3 for more serious I guess what this guy would call "artistic" games and exclusives, whereas the Xbox gets used almost exclusively for Xbox LIVE.
I don't know that what this guy is claiming is true, I'd want to see survey results before deciding that, but it is personally true for me.
I can guarantee that people will bit torrent this game :P I personally will not, as I want to own a legit copy and play online cause it looks awesome. But don't think for a moment that this game won't end up cracked and on the trackers.
I'm thinking that MOST games should be released at $40... I mean really, a game like WET. WET is a lot of fun, and it's challenging to play as well. But it's NOT $60 worth of content. It should've been released at $40, just one example.
Man, this guy has got to be the smartest guy in the gaming industry. This makes me want to buy Super Meat Boy.
I agree with how messed up "free to play" has become. I know it gets lambasted buy gamers everywhere, but look at Runescape.. That is f2p done right. People can play for free and get access to more content than is available in many AAA titles now a days. Or you can pay the small membership fee and have access to all of their content. I mean really, that's how it should be done.
While I have no problem seeing Lucas Arts act like this, this guy is associated with the same studio who insists that only CoD and BF sell, and that every other shooter is unprofitable.... They're all morons, imo. They could make Timesplitters 4, and it would redeem them, unless it turned out like Haze... Which I doubt it would, how hard is it to not !@#$ up Timesplitters?
