I would have thought the irony of WoW ripoffs is that WoW hasn't done anything original to begin with.

hmmm, just played it and finished it in 5 minutes...not really worth the 950mb lol. i guess it was kinda fun, but it sufferes the same problem all simple RPG's like this do... its far too repetetive... they need something to break it up a little, i might try the game out when its released but i dont have overly high expectations.marriage0

My thoughts exactly

Ya, I use steam only because Valve games make you use it. When I have the option I prefer to buy my games in store.concord9

Tried it a few times already. Gameplay is great, just like it was in Tribes.

My only complaint is the lack of maps, but I bet they will come out with new ones sooner or later.

[QUOTE="fightinglove"]no, because I have to pay taxes. fatshodan

That's not Steam's fault, that's your government's. There's a 22% VAT in Finland, and it applies to both conventional sales and e-commerce sales.

Nothing at all to do with Steam. They are simply bound by the laws of commerce your government has laid out. In England, I also have to pay a VAT on all my Steam purchases, but again, it's nothing to do with Steam.

I know. My point was just that it's much cheaper for people who don't have to pay VAT (US?), and with VAT steam is much more expensive than for example retailers here in Finland. It's not related to the software itself, but still it has a lot to do with why I don't like steam.

no, because I have to pay taxes. Also hate that you need it to be running on the background while playing (a steam game).
