a game with great gameplay is just that and nothing more. it transcends to a new level when an awesome story is intertwined making it greater than the sum of its parts. i dont understand why you wouldnt want that to be in gears 2

of course i would but the first gears had horrible storytelling and it got a 9.6. i wouldn't get my hopes up and be disappointed if the story is average. the gears universe is cool enough in itself so i dont feel that gears 2 has to have incredible story telling to be enjoyed.

oh ok i misunderstood what you were saying it seemed that you thought that storytelling didnt belong in games and that if you wanted a story you should go read a book. now i see what you meant to say and i completely understand where youre coming from even though i disagree and think a good story would help out alot
