@redhedjack issue with compression take both cpu and bw issue . most game this gen have not been compress much at all.

this is why i laugh about next gen consoles. they wont mention storage size and their going to be two big for 1tb drives .

min next gen has to be 4tb hdd none lap drive.

i mean true 4k and 8k asset are monster size. streaming ref does not count. its highly compress to the point of near not said content spec wise .

hell horizon zero dawn(pro version ) is simple using un compress assets. you be surprise how good they look. with no compress used.

tbh people in general when they talk about this. have zero clue on what their talking about. instead they bs it.

to really under stand spec wise what needed. my pc(not bragging) is 32 cores ,128gb ram,dual 580s and a 6gb r/w speed m.2 to work in (real time) both 4k and 8k content. ...

@ccgod: both to you and kg. game install are getting 50 to over 100gb per game. a simple 1 tb ssd. is useless. but when you go above that size. it costly as hell. even enterprise grad. in bulk its exp. the hybrid sdd/hdd is the best and cheaper option.
