My favourites would be Meshuggah and Opeth, Tool too if that is to be considered metal.

huge fan of QOTSA, sold themselves out with this pat album, era is not to good.

Sold themselves out? How so? And yes, I love playing guitar, only started playing seriously a few months ago and have been out of action due to hand injuries.
