Well I think the issue he's attacking is the popular notion that PC gaming is not more expensive than console gaming.
Long term, PC gaming is probably a bit more expensive. But the numbers can get close depending on how many games you buy.
Also I would like to point out how console gaming at it's best can cost more then any MONSTER PC system. Take PS3. If you want to play that system on it's best you will need $10,000+ To do that. The system + Sound System ( the best! is going to cost you in the $1,000's ) The best T.V will run over $8,000+ So when it comes to it. If you want " The Best most fastest 60FPS gameing computer" Pay for it.Well now you're just being silly.
You can add that sound system and large-bodied HDTV to the PC costs too. Keep it reasonable in order to keep your argument worth discussing. Assume a $400-$700 HDTV or something and keep going.
But mine setup will look better then yours and sound hell of a better. So that would make my the best. And I'm not being silly. Dude is asking for 60FPS meaning that would make your system one of the best if your running crysis maxed out. So It's still worth discussingThis is how you need to look at this discussion:
1.) Build good tower, KB & M. No monitor. No speakers.
2.) Compare that price to a console + controllers. No TV. No speakers.
Why? Because for arguments' sake, the console (PS3, 360) could use a computer monitor (VGA, DVI or HDMI are available for both consoles) and a standard set of headphones or something.
Trying to add on a $10,000 TV is simply over the top.
Looking at it that way, yes you would be more then right. But he's asking for 60FPS. That means havingthe best computer. And how are you testing them FPS with out a monitor? so we have to add that in. To benchmark the system.
