SO your telling me 1200 System will smoke my 5,000 self built system?! I always build my systems. And I always spend top $$ for the best of everything. 1200 = cheap parts that will burn or brake in a year or 2.

tramp

5K SELF BUILT?! MY ***. Unless you have NASA hardware in that POS. List the spec right now.

to make it short. It will be something like this but with a better case and a 30inc monitor

Yeah, thats overpriced. You could definitely build the same thing from zipzoom for about 1.5K-2.0K.

Dude show it then. Give me everything listed on that PC for under 2k I Would Love to see you do that. If this was a name brand computer it would cost 8k+ this system is hand built just like mine would be. But getting this for under 2k+ your a damn liar

PC gaming is not cheap, I'll admit that. I'm going to blow 2000 US$ on a new one sometime around late July or mid August. However, 1000 US$ should be enough to get a decent gaming computer that would run even Crysis acceptably. 2000 US$ should get you a machine that'll max out games for the next year or two. 2500 US$ or more is just plain overkill, likely for those who either play games at extremely high resolutions(no, not 1920x1080p, I mean 2560x1600!)or just want to show off.NamelessPlayer

Put this in your regal pipe and smoke it: Video Card: X2 = 789.99 http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=324625 Ram: 4G = 432 http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10005472 Processor = 221.90 http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80860 Mobos: (This will take a little more time to match up frequencies for ram and CPU chipset, but about 100-120) Case (With power supply): 124.99 http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10005323 Vista: 89.00. (Discount from Journeyed) Harddrives: X2 = 208 http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=101455 That leaves just enough for keyboard and mouse. *Whipes his forehead* There are very very smaller discrepencies, but only because I can't replicate it for 100%. Total price for an extremely similar rig: 1,982. However, this rig is very excessive, and I could easily shave off 500-700 dollars and get the same performance. Keep that in mind.

Dude I'll give it to you. That is a ok system. But it's still far off from what I posted. You listed things that match but not on the same level. The CPU list on ebay is listed on that site for close to $500

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80864

and the video cards are not the same an dyou gave me some cheap ass ram.

But over all nice job. You showed your point you can build a nice computer for under 2000 but if you want the best your still pushing over 5000 :)

[QUOTE="flaa2000"][QUOTE="Peter_Darkstar"][QUOTE="primetime2121"]

[QUOTE="Vandalvideo"][QUOTE="primetime2121"]well its plausible to build a $5000 system ...considering quad cores are $1000..and two 8800 gtx in sli are over a $1000..
Meu2k7

And every other individual part is under 100.

4 GB of the latest memory would run you about $400....SATA hard drive...$150.....cooling over $100...top of the line monitor $500-$2000....sound system.....$500-$1000..Vista about $200...want a great case...$100-$200..etc. etc.

Not quite, 2gb of ram ~$100 for 6400 or 800mhz, $80 for a 320gb sata hdd, case can be anywhere from $50 to around $200, and vista is $115 for an OEM version. The monitor and sound system depend on your budget.

Please don't make me use links, all of these items can be found for the prices I listed on Internet retailers.

dude did you just say 320gb?! WHat the hell I'm running a 1TB right now. what the hell is a gb?!

Why are you even in this thread? Why seriously? You come in telling us to get 360s and PS3s , (Ironically Vandal has them both) and I will intime , we arnt all as well of as you to WASTE yes I said WASTE money on PREMIUM hardware that will be replaced with BETTER CEAHPER peices.

Example, you Quad Core Extreme is a WASTE, Penrys will blow it away, theres barely anything in the gaming industry that uses Quad Cores, and there is NOTHING that really needs them.

Sounds like you just have more money than sense, now quit bragging, this is a CRYSIS thread, not a "I LOVE MY WALLET" thread.

 I'm in this cause I was asking why do people keep saying you can run crysis at max DX10 with $1200. My point is! that's not the case. Then some noob came in and started talkin **** I not saying I love my "wallet" I'm saying Im a HARDCORE PC GAMER! WHo Loves The best of the BEST! Ifthe bestonly cost 1cent i would pay for it. to bad the best things in life don't. Hell If i was rich I would give everyone a kick ass PC that would own crysis. But I made my point and I see that dude is not back yet with the same stats for under 2k.

"Nobody needs $5000 PC's they are pointless toys for the rich."

Dude im not rich. I just love seeing Games Maxed out. I know what it takes to do that. It's not $600. I've been playing PC games most of my life and I know it's not cheap. You want the best in the PC world? Get ready to pay for it.
