The infestation!!

Sorry my blog is a little late, but I've been busy lately.

I've finally upgraded to Gamespot plus so I can post that trailer for Infested. Here's a summary of the movie.

The day has started out normal. A father and daughter are heading out to the movies to see "Apple Dumplings, the movie." Meanwhile, a black male and white female are out by a lake getting ready to have some fun out on the water. Also, a frantic Jack rushes home and his wife Jennifer, sees him kidnaped by 20 inch high aliens. He's shrunken, stripped naked, and abducted for questioning. The aleins than dispatch the ants to invade such places like New York, Sydney, london, and more. Meanwhile, the couple on the lake is forced to leave people trying to escape in the water an they take off. Those people end up drounding. Also, a millitary institution must battle back with tanks to fight the dozens of ants coming they're way as it's antkind VS Mankind.

Part 1 will arrive on December 12

On December 5, a new trailer will be uploaded

part 2 will be here on December 19

Part 3 will be uploaded on Christmas day.

On December 26, I will announce what January's movie will be.

I just left your ass 4 dead!- Left 4 dead is finally here!

The highly anticipated Left 4 Dead has finally arrived. I looked up the wikipedia and found this info;

Played in first person, players take control of the four main characters of the game, known as the Survivors. If four human players are not available to play, the remaining Survivors can be AI-controlled bots. They play through the levels fighting off the Infected Horde, which are living humans (and not traditional undead) who have been infected with a mutated Rabies virus - although they are sometimes referred to as "zombies".

The game is focused on cooperation and team play; coloured outlines of teammates are visible through walls to help players stick together and coordinate their movement, and Survivors can be knocked down by the Infected and only helped up by another player. If a teammate is knocked down after being helped up twice, without tending to his wounds in between, the player will experience a distorted black and white vision, and the next takeout will kill the player, forcing them to wait until the survivors find a safe room before respawning. There are respawn areas scattered around the map that can be opened to find respawned survivors.

"Boss Infected" also command special attacks, such as a Hunter's pin, Boomer's vomit, the Smoker's choke, and the Tank's throw (usually throws cars), which require assistance from a teammate to get out of or to get back up after being knocked down. Survivors can also share first-aid kits and help each other heal. Left 4 Dead has full friendly fire during the Advanced and Expert modes, increasing the need for caution around other Survivors. It is disabled in Easy mode.

The Survivors communicate by voice commands that are accessed by quick menus, and some will also sound off automatically when doing such things as reloading or spotting Infected. Over 1000 unique lines have been recorded for each Survivor. Additional communication of player actions is conveyed through character lights. Also, weapon-mounted flashlights and muzzle flashes help the players in determining whether their companions are shooting, performing melee attacks, reloading or moving. Due to control issues and to the fact that players will probably be using a LIVE headset, the Xbox 360 version of Left 4 Dead will omit the quick phrases feature.

The game is experienced through four scenarios that take place in various urban and rural locales, such as a hospital, an airport and a murky countryside. Each scenario is divided into several shorter sections marked by safehouse checkpoints, where players can heal, re-arm, calm their nerves, save their progress and retrieve players who were killed. Specifically the four phases of the campaign mode are; No Mercy (urban setting), Death Toll (small town/countryside setting), Dead Air (airport setting), and Blood Harvest (a rural setting).[ The levels are essentially linear, with distinct beginnings and ends, but there are a number of alternate routes to follow with more supplies and alternate objectives, as well as create a sense of non-linearity. At the end of each scenario, the players must defend a position from an onslaught of Infected until rescue arrives. Each scenario lasts between 45 and 75 minutes.

PS what?-The difference between a PS2 and a PS3

The Ps3 and Ps3 are both amazing machines. But what makes them different other than their looks? I looked up this debate on yahoo answers and got a decent answers.

Their are many things different about the PS3 then just the graphics. The first major difference is the PS3 has a built in blue ray player, so you can play blue ray movies in High Def TV. The blue Ray play is why the PS3 is $600 and not $300 like the PS2 what when it first came out. A stand alone Blue Ray player is around $800-$1000. The PS3 also comes with a build in harddrive, so that you can save games on it without the need of memmory cards. Their are two versions out, the 20 gig harddrive and the 60 gig harddrive. The PS3 also allows you to save PS1 and PS2 games on it without the need of a memmory card. The PS3 is comming out with an adapter to transfer games that you already have saved on your PS1 and PS2 memmory cards to the harddrive, so you won't have to start your games all over again. The PS3 has much faster load times then the PS3. The PS3 will also be able to support CR-ROM, CD-RW, DVD, DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD+R formats. The PS3 also has additional slots for usb flash drive, SD slot, and a compact flash memory slot. The PS3 will be able to support 7 blue tooth controllers right out of the box. The PlayStation 3 will feature the much-vaunted Cell processor, which will run at 3.2GHz, giving the whole system 2 teraflops of overall performance. It will sport 256MB XDR main RAM at 3.2GHz, and it will have 256MB of GDDR VRAM at 700MHz. The PlayStation 3 will also sport some hefty multimedia features, such as video chat, Internet access, digital photo viewing, and digital audio and video. The PS3 will be connected to the internet all times, even when its not on, just like the wii. You will also be able to download firm updates and downloads for games that you play online. I hope this answers all your questions about what the PS3 will do and what its capable of.

Thanks for the answer. If there's something not listed leave a comment or email me at Jmhorrors@yahoo.com

Little gre... err, gray men!-Destroy all humans! 3

Lately, I've been anticipating Destroy all humans Path of a furon. First, it's not Destroy all humans 4! It's 3! The game is being upgraded so it will be able to take advantage of next-gen consoles like the PS3 and Xbox 360. Let's take a look at some of the changes. (Copied and pasted from wikipedia);)

Changes in gameplay, graphics, and physics

Due to streamlined controls, Crypto can shoot humans, use the jetpack, and activate Psychokinesis simultaneously. The player can stand on a moving vehicle without falling off or being knocked over. The player can now engage in aerial battles. There are now flying enemies, such as helicopters and enemy saucers that can fight Crypto in his saucer. The player can travel to different locations "without ever leaving the game world" Buildings will collapse and scar differently when attacked with different weapons. The game will feature a modified alert scheme with police, SWAT, and military awareness. Cars will dent, bend, and crumple when hit, and will create sparks when dragged across a stone or concrete surface. The game uses a different physics engine, and as a result objects in the game will not abruptly stop moving when they collide with other objects. Electricity will surge through power lines when damage is caused to them. Pox Mart will be returning. The player can now use Mental Lock as an accurate targeting lock-on system for strafing targets with a weapon. The player will be able to exit and enter certain buildings freely, such as his casino or the Master's monastery.

Changes to story and characters

The game features new locations, based upon major cities around the world. In an IGTV Interview, Jon Knoles states that since the Nexos from the Furon Homeworld are on Earth trying to disrupt his mission and kill him, Pox has upgraded Crypto's weapons and mental abilities. All of his weapons now produce DNA, and he automatically pulls the DNA towards him with Psychokinesis. Pox is still a hologram, but he has a brand new HoloPox Unit with extendable arms, with which he can gesture and interact with things.

Changes to Furon technology, weaponry, and saucer

Almost all of the previous weapons have been externally redesigned. Crypto can use the saucer's death ray and other weapons to scar buildings and terrain; these scars remain until a new mission is started, the player travels to a different location, or if the scar is on a building, until the building is destroyed. The saucer can abduct multiple humans, which are processed instantly. When abducted, humans slightly recharge the saucer's shields and also increase DNA. The Ion Detonator can be used as a sticky bomb. It can stick to both people and objects, and has a larger blast radius. The Anal Probe can lock onto more than one human. The Zap-O-Matic's multiple trails will go to vehicles, inanimate objects and people. Enemies and vehicles attacked with the Zap-O-Matic appear blue. The Quantum Deconstructor can be charged. The jet pack has a longer-lasting battery, and controls differently. The saucer has been redesigned, as Crypto crashed the original saucer into the Space Dust casino whilst drunk. Crypto's saucer can now fly horizontally and vertically and aim in all directions. Some of the new weaponry includes the "Tornadotron," the "Black Hole Gun," and the "Venus Human Trap". One new weapon is called the Superballer; this weapon fires out a supercharged ball of hydrohelium-infused polymer that homes in on humans and vehicles and sends them bouncing. With each super bounce, the victim takes damage, and it also causes an impulse with each impact that throws anyone and anything nearby. In a reference to one of the ubiquitous symbols of the 1970s: rainbows, the Superballer's vapor trail even creates a spectral refraction effect akin to a rainbow. Also, one returning fan favorite from Destroy All Humans! 2 is the Dislocator. This weapon fires pink gravity defying energy disks that fling people and objects in many different random directions. The player may now engage in "car surfing" via this weapon, and the disks are now pink, instead of purple as they were in Destroy All Humans! 2.

Changes to Psychokinesis

Psychokinesis is now mapped to its own trigger for easy access. Psychokinesis generates a large blue-purple glow around Crypto's hand. The Temporal Fist ability allows Crypto to stop time, manipulate objects, and then resume time. Objects can be given a directional impulse that causes the object to fly with greater force than a normal Psychokinetic push, once time has been resumed.

Changes to humans and enemies

Some enemies carry riot shields. In a video of DAH! PotF and a racing car video in Sunnywood, Crypto is attacked by humans with plasma guns. Humans now run out of buildings when damage is caused to them, making it easier to collect humans for processing. There are now helicopter enemies.

THEY GAVE IT WHAT?!- Why good reviews are becoming extinct

In case you havn't noticed, (or you've been living in your basement playing Fallout 3 or preparing for Left 4 Dead) the last 6 months or so have been filled with bad reviews from Gamespot. I have no idea why this is happening but I can tell you it may be a bad sign. Although I love Gamespot, (Despite the fact they keep cutting off all the comments I leave, I mean really, what the frick?):x Let me take a look at some data; (Average Gamespot score) (Note, these are not exact, I just looked them up on google)

 2004: 8.9

2005: 6.8

2006: 7.0

2007: 7.5

2008: 5.0 (Estimate)

I have no idea if google is right but the question stands. Why is gamespot giveing such low scores? Maybe it's because of bad games. I mean the economy is so bad right now, company's are busy releaseing crappy games just to stay afloat. I don't know what's up with Gamespot but, who knows? It could be depression fron this crappy economy.

P.S. Why the hell are all my posts getting deleted. And why can't i post anything on news artices? what the F*CK?

Crossing Over-Why movies and video games don't mix

Welcome to my first blog.:D Today's issue is about why companyies are trying to transend movies into games and games into movies. Face it people we all have encountered the movies based games. Most from pixar and dreamworks. Although some have been surprisingly successsful, (Some spiderman games, James bond) some just try to rip-off a movie's success. (ET, Shriek, Madagascar...) You get my point. Here are some games that can't be made into movies; (And if they were they would probably suck)

1. The sims(2)

2. Rollcoaster Tycoon

3. SimCity (Although with a little creativity it may be possible)

4. WWE games (The stuff on TV is already acted out, so what's the point of re-acting it?) :x

5. Any games with the word "tycoon" in it

Okay, here are some games that could be pretty good in movies (Most of these got the "great story" emblem from Gamespot)

1. Fallout 3

2. Bully

3. Destroy All Humans! (I would use computer generated models for the saucer, Crypto, and maybe Pox)

4. Gears of War

5. Resistance

6. Far Cry 2

7. Bioshock

8. And a few others

Okay, that's my opinion. If you would like me to add anything to either lists or want to change my opinion about one of these things, than here's what to do. If you want to add something I forgot on either lists, post a comment. If you thing something on one list should have been on the other list, then email me at Jmhorrors@yahoo.com before my next blog entry is posted. Other wise I'll delete any late mail.
