When i was young:
- Sid Vicious
- Sting
- Vampiro
- Goldberg
- Eddie Guerrero
- Chis Benoit
- Chris Jericho
- Steve Austin
- The Rock
- Team Extreme
- Dean Malenko
- Too Cool
- Crash Holly
These are the guys i remeber from when i was young. Wrestling for me has been on and off. I stopped watching shortly after the attitude era and began again just before Eddie Guerrero was champ and when John Cena was a mid carder.....Good times lol
[QUOTE="mja2k3"][QUOTE="_Muta"][QUOTE="mja2k3"]What is with the MVP hate on this board?_Muta
Mediocre worker, mediocre talker, stupid gimmick that makes no sense at all...... should i keep going?
Did u see his match at Mania, of course I know it was booked that way to make him look good but he can wrestle. Wrestlemania was just a glimpse, he's alright on the mic. And I like his gimmick. The guy has pontential but it seems like everyone is sh*tting on him before he's actually had a real match, not just gimmick matches with Kane.
Yes, i did. I also wasn't impressed. MVP simply isn't talented, period. And by talented, i mean someone who has presence. That is what separates the true talent from the Randy Ortons, Jeff Jarrets, and MVPs. And no, you can't blame his blandness on the WWE ****(which really isn't as "watered down" as people make it out to be. A true worker can have a five star match with a few moves and bumps) since Chris Benoit, Fit Finaly, and HBK are still able to manage.
Pro-wrestling is about commanding an emotional response from the crowd. It's that simple. If you can't do it, you're not talented. Speaking of which, remember that total lack of a response MVP got at WM? No heat at all.
when i went to smackdown, he got alot of heat. the crowd at WM 23 sucked IMO, they only cared for the two world title matches. MVP is the future.
WWE BEST: Benoit, MVP, Kennedy, HBK, Shelton, Finlay, Edge
WWE WORST: Henry, Khali, Brock Lashley, Umaga, Snitsky, Bob Holly, Sandman
TNA BEST: Angle, Daniels, Joe, Lethal, Sabin, Cage, Abyss
TNA WORST: Steiner, Sting, Jarrett, Raven, Nash, Konnan, Johnny Devine
MITB 3: *** Winner: Ken Kennedy
It was quite an exciting and unpredictable contest, mixed in with some insane spots that really acared me for a bit (Edge being carried out after the ladder spot with jeff) I thought it had humour, like when hoggswoggle went for glory and when punk was the last standing and going up the ladder, i thought he had it.
Kane Vs Khali: * 1/2 Winner: The Great Khali
Ok this was a pretty terrible match, but even so, this is probably Khalis best performance so far (amazingly). This is saved (slightly) by that body slam from kane, it was an incredible sight, and for me, is a real wrestlemania moment.
MVP Vs Benoit: **** Winner: Chris Benoit
I really wasnt expecting much, maybe just Benoit's technical prowess saving this match. but im shocked, MVP was incredible, and this guy has earned my respect. MVP was the definition of a wrestlemania performance. A great technical, mat wrestling match, and almost match of the night. Probably the best US title match in recent memory, and very almost MOTN
Taker Vs Batista: *** 1/2 Winner: Undertaker
Meh, i know alot of you guys are praising this, but it wasnt THAT good. excellent end though and great effort from both men.
Originals vs New breed: ** Winner: Originals
Too short to be entertaining. More filler then anything.
BOTB: ** 1/2
Meh match, but very funny climax, vinces reaction. was worth sitting through this trash and stone cold was hilarious
Diva match: I dont really care, didnt watch it
Cena Vs HBK: ****1/2 Winner: John Cena
Phenominal match, and even though he was carried throughout, a fine performance from cena aswell as HBK for carrying him. Best as a cena match can get, if cena does win. Lots of emotion, and the only match that had me screaming at the TV, at the climax as each man countered each others finishers and kicked out.
