Everyone saying to just use your Ps2 to play Ps2 games need to understand everyone has different circumstances. I and many other are in college and shouldn't have to lug TWO consoles to my room and hook them up to play old games. It would be ALOT easier with the Ps3 since all the data is saved to the hardrive and not to some flimsy Memory card that is easily lost.

Is it really that hard to make the cconsole BC and give it Hardware space? They did it just ffine with the early 60 and 80GB models. It just seems silly to not make your current generation system BC with games from your best selling console (EVER)

The slim is a step in the right direction but I think Sony came up a little short by not jumping on the BC

If someone from Sony or PSN is reading this we'd like FF6-9 released in a nice bundle titled Final Fantasy Essentials

Now I'm crossing my fingers for downloadable Spyro and Jet Moto :p

I like the move so far. If Sony can guarantee full backwards compatibility then they should sell like hotcakes
