What is the point of this game...? What do you do. All I see is him walking around. I didnt see any gun or anything. Is it like a puzzle horror thing?manicfoot
Your trying to find your lost daughter in the worst city on the planet, when the world reshapes into the nightmare world the monsters come out and they chase is on. There are no rocket launchers, handcannons, or huge knifes for cutting these things down. Its suppose to be a real world regular guy who like any real world person when confronted with monsters, they don't reach for a grenade, they haul ass. It promises to be a real cerebral experience, instead of a gore fest or startle moments
I am really digging the fact that they trying to make the world so immersive and basically make you forget that you are playing a game. That is how you do horror, and I have to say again no combat was a great idea. Once you get guns and stuff, the monsters aren't tormentors they don't frighten you, they are just like any other game enemy, an obstacle to be mowed down.
^yeah our horror is all about startle moments, gore and adrenaline sequences, it gets pretty boring, I like the Japanese pyschological horror more.
What makes this game so interesting to me is NO LOAD SCREENS. You can't just go through a door to make the monster stop chasing you like you could in the old games. You will have to survive on your wits alone. I think this game is going to be really intense. Especially when you consider how the Wii remote can give you a tangible connection to the game world when used properly...
don't forget you can also try and block their path so that they can't reach you....
Silent Hill always finds a way to get to me and I think this will be the scariest one.
