The following is a trailer for Game COPS: Episode 2 (True Love is Never Forgotten). If you haven't seen Episode 1, I suggest you check it out. However, if you're reading this, you probably already have. These spoofs star my friends and I as officers in the ranks of Game COPS. We sweep the streets for bad video games.

Bryan Singer Knows Super Heroes

I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with my viewing of Superman Returns this evening. I can't say that my expectations were all that high going in, but even if they were, I would have still come out liking this movie a whole lot.
Reviews that I read were throwing out a lot of mixed vibes on this movie, some heralding it as great, and others as poorly casted. Most of the casting issues in reviews were centered around the young and somewhat cold Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane. Personally, I thought she played a fine Lois Lane. However, even if she didn't, I don't think it could have detracted from this movie's enjoyment factor.
In my opinion, the casting was superb. Of course, the dynamic duo of Kevin Spacy as Lex Luthor and Parker Posey as Kitty was hilariously entertaining as I suspected. I was truly surprised though at how well Brandon Routh (somewhat of an unknown) pulled off a compelling Clark Kent/Superman. James Marsden (Cyclops of X-Men Movie fame) fit well into the movie as well, and portrayed a convincingly jealous/torn/understanding husband to a Lois Lane that had a history with Superman.
Bryan Singer's previous big hits include The Usual Suspects and the first two X-Men Movies, all of which I really enjoyed. One thing that I think this movie will ultimately have over his previous X-Men movies is more of a re-watchability factor, regardless of its long run time (2 hours and 40 minutes). Also, as in his previous super hero movies, he has certainly left this one open for a nice big-fat-money-generating sequel. All in all, I would say that this movie is worthy of summer blockbuster status, and thus worthy of its Wednesday commercial release.

Getting Psyched about Madden 07

Howdy Neighbors!
Last night, Jon (aka Stankowski) and I were digging through some of his excellent 70s horror flicks and other miscellaneous DVDs. We ended up watching the original The Hills Have Eyes (geat stuff). Anyways, little were we expecting to find this as well. Check out my new ritual for getting psyched about the next yearly installment of Madden Football.

3rd Time's a Charm!

As many of you know, I recently purchased a DS Lite. However, the DS Lite that was in my most recent video is not the same one that I have now. You see, the DS Lite that I bought on Sunday (the one in the video) had a big bright green dead pixel in the middle of the upper screen. Usually, one dead pixel on an LCD device is not a problem -- but the fact that the DS Lite doesn't have an extreme amount of pixels to begin with, compounded by the fact that screen is just so brilliantly bright -- one dead pixel becomes an ADD sufferer's nightmare. Consequently, I called EB on Monday morning and asked if they could replace it. They were more than happy to oblige, and said that they would contact me when they get more of them in -- which happened to be today. I went over at lunch time and exchanged my Lite for another. After work, I flipped it on to play some Mario, and sure enough, there was big bright green dead pixel, not on the top screen, but right in the middle of the bottom screen. At this point I was pretty irked, and felt bad about calling EB again, but I did anyway (because that wouldn't just wouldn't sit well with my conscience otherwise). So I drove over there for a third time, and the short of it is that now I have a fully undefective DS Lite with zero dead pixels. If only I didn't have to go through such great lengths to get it.

In this short video blog, I demonstrate the only thing that justify an unnecessary purchase of a DS Lite.

DS Lite Today ! = Unnecessary Purchase
by flickds on Comments
Last weekend, I went to one of the myriad local EBs in my area and put some money down on the DS Lite. Do I need a DS Lite? Absolutely not. I already have a DS that I'm going to move for $50 dollars today, but when I look at it from all angles, I really didn't need to do this. However, these goings on have inspired an idea for a video blog that may require a couple of extra actors. Hopefully I can execute it today. I've got that itch.
