[QUOTE="Pedro"][QUOTE="fm_coyote"] Dude, NO one knows what it'll do for the game except the devs. THEY know how striking the visual impact will be, NOT us. Like you said, we know what DX11 CAN do. But we won't know what it'll do for Crysis 2 until we see how well the devs pulled it off. So relax a little bit.FelipeInside
I am quite relax however, people have to realise that that DX 11 would not necessarily make the game better looking. It can simply support it without taking advantage of any of the DX 11 features.
Obviously DX11 is gonna make the game look better in parts.... maybe in lots of parts or maybe in small parts. I ain't buying it until it has DX11 support... it's DISGRACEFUL that they brought out the game without it. I agree with you, I haven't bought it either, and I wont till I see the DX11 patch. All Im saying is, badgering people to say what DX11 will DO for crysis, when really, NO one knows till we see it, is useless.[QUOTE="millerlight89"]
Apparently you do since you are asking what dx11 can do.
Pedro
WOW. I know what it can do. But can anyone of you say what can it or will it do for the game? You all want it so much yet NONE of you can state ONE DirectX 11 feature that would be implemented, can be implemented in Crysis 2. It also a HUGE assumption that it would make a difference when the fact of the matter is that it can LITERALLY make no visual changes to the game.

With my monitor 4x is the same visually as anything more then that. I have yet to see a monitor that gives more then a marginal difference with anything more the 4x. Then again that's me. You may be way more picky, who knows.ravenguard90
Well, the only difference I saw was in the buildings in BC2. Bumping it up from 8x CSAA to 16x CSAA helped smooth out the edges more. The trees still look as jagged as ever though :?
Don't forget, the AA in BC2 is wonky, only some things are AA'd. If there is sky behind the object, it wont get AA most times. where as if there is another 3b object behind it, it's fine. It's extremely stupid. Good example is say coming up behind a tank... the tank, and the ground and troops have AA applied, if you look up through the rack and the antennas on top, the edges of them, and the barrel for example, wont have aa.. I wish I could find the screen shots someone posted on Hardocp i believe it was, it was showing all the weird little qwerks.WTF does 32xaa even look like.FightingfanNo different then 4x with even a crappy monitor.
