Nvidia card? That started to happen to me a few patches ago, nothing had changed except that patch. I was running a 480gtx then.

[QUOTE="bobaban"]This is only showing your ignorance. MVC2 had a big roster because they used all the previous sprites from the other vs games. This time all the characters are built from the ground up. Conjuration

Alright, so by that way of thinking it would have been alright for GT5 to have 40% less cars than GT4.
Lame excuse.

Actually, after playing the bore fest that is GT5, I would of prefered if there was less cars. Because IMO, the idea of ONLY the premium cars being high poly counts and cockpit views, not to mention no damage on the non-premium cars.... They're the only cars I and all my friends use.. So... Kinda, yeah. lol

I still find it hilarious that 3D Realms used 12 years on the game only to be closed down, then in swoops Gearbox and potentially finish it in two, maybe tree, years.Treflis
Read some stories and interviews... Your comment is horribly misinformed.

[QUOTE="MondeEdlu"]

Theres this misconception about pc games looking way better.

From a technical standpoint they will look sharper, wall tiles and whatever other doodads have a little bit more detail but honestly for all intents and purposes they look the exact same during actual gameplay.

We pay for this technicality via needing machines with 4 times the specs of consoles and major delays in most multi-platform releases.

Most games dont even bother remaking the main menu for mouse support, did u really think theyd make extra graphics for pc?

GeneralShowzer

Because Dead Space is the title every PC gamer looks forward too right? :o

It was a cheap port, and it sold bad, they didn't even want to make Dead Space II on PC. Just be happy that it is on PC, with the lack of interest in the first game.

And i disagree, resolution does make a lot of difference, console games can be rather unplayable, it's not nearly the same. You don't want to pay for it, you don't have to.

People like you just want to complain about everything. You say MOST games are delayed, while it's only the AC series really, with Ubisoft and their idiotic ways.

You don't want to play on PC, you don't have to, if your only interest is in multi-plats just get a console and stop spreading negativity and misinformation on the forum.

While I totally agree with most of your post.. what do you mean PC games don't get delayed? PC games get pushed back ALLLLL the time. I know it's usually for the best and what not in "most" cases. But hell, the fact that PC gamers are used to the term "Valve Time" alone proves a lot of PC games get pushed back.

Same as BC 2, yet here we are.

Getting special treatment sounds like a console port that we shouldn't be worried about and that is bad, because lately when DICE wants to prove something, it's the other way around, so we should be worried.

Odd, I don't ever recall them saying they where giving the PC version of BC2 "special treatment" Link that for us. True Battlefield fans knew that BC2 was not a Battlefield game to the full extent. That was never hidden from the start.

You've missed the marketing campaign then :P. Won't bother looking for the videos because it's pointless and a waste of time (check ign or something, for the promotional videos), but they were allover BC 2 for PC saying every time how they will make this game special for PC because PC players and console players have different needs, how they're going to adapt the game on keyboard + mouse for us and offer awesome dedicated servers and free content just for us and voice chat (that has problems even now).

In the end we got a broken server browser, almost half the time it has lag, controls are meh (the ones saying BF 2 sucks, you might want to play it again, maybe you'll remember how it plays, if not your problem, I like the way it controls better), floaty movement that's specific for consoles since it makes the whole movement look and feel better on a gamepad, free maps that were missing content and it only took the 1 year and lots of advertising and trailers for this existing maps and finally they gave us several free maps.

That was after they announced the game and gave us quite a lot of info on it, if they already started with BF 3, then something is wrong.

No offence, but I didnt miss the marketing at all. I was following the press on it from the start, as I was really looking forward to the game. They never once said it was getting special treatment for the PC, they DID say they where giving it dedicated servers yes, but they made it very clear from the start, the Bad Company series will have its own feel, and its own presence. I don't need to check IGN for the videos, I've seen them all. I asked for links because I know what was said in your post, isn't the case.

How old is that VGA cable? I recently bought a new monitor for my cousins computer, her's was a very old system she got free from work.... She used the existing cable and got no signal what so ever and called me in a fit. Once I told her to use a new cable everything was perfect. Just throwing ideas out there.

Did you try both dvi plugs on the card if it has more then 1? also, does the motherboard have onboard video? if so you'd have to disable that in the bios. whats your system specs? motherboard and vid card?
