Going to need a high-end PC just to run Star Citizen. Now THAT is a REAL next generation game.

@JAHBU @focuspuller Here's the thing, if you have a decent processor, and you can fit one good graphic card in your machine, you can already run everything on Ultra. With two, you are in VERY good shape.

@comb5 @focuspuller CPU is the hardware, PC is basically the box for that hardware. Look up the term's history.

Rather then splitting hairs, just give me the whole hair cut.

@JAHBU @focuspuller Look at hardware websites. There are a LOT of deals right now on hardware. For example AMD (which makes a lot of the hardware in the Xbox1 AND PS4) as well as Nvidia, are offering good deals and prices on cards. Alienware, I believe, is offering $200 credit to people that trade in their current console for one of their machines. I would just build my own, cheaper and more rewarding.

On a side note, those companies usually include games when you get graphic cards from well known CPU parts sellers. My last ATI card came with 5 new games, including Bioshock I, Tomb Raider, and others, I don't remember, all new games. It's basically a scratch card with game codes.

@bfa1509 @focuspuller Some people go INSANELY all out with the kind of things they put in their CPU, and I get it.

I don't get as wild as some, but I do want something that looks good so a nice box, lots of room, and great parts, most of which you replace slowly over time until you replace the motherboard itself. But it's all just a matter of slow and steady, and affordable upgrade.

As far as putting it together, yes, sometimes, if not most times, it can be more fun to build your own CPU. And you're always proud of yourself when you do even when it becomes second nature.

You never forget building your first, and it's always shocking how easy it is after.

I GUARANTEE that if some of the people that were going to get a new console, took that money and built themselves a new CPU instead, they would love it and never look back.

I have a PS3, and have been playing GTA5 with the guys, BUT, I play (more or less) everything else on a High End PC that I built myself, and upgrade little by little when the times comes. I also do it for a lot less money then you would think. Despite high-end components, there are a lot of sales and deals, and when it's all said and done you're actually playing LESS then you would when you buy a console and add-ons, etc. This is also not counting the much cheaper price tags and sales for PC games. It's also fun, quick, and easy, to do.

Most of my friends with sense do the same.

I pre-ordered a PS4 but have since canceled my order. Consoles as we know then are a cash grab and a waist of money for consumers. I'm not going to promote an outdated model.

@Korvus85 @snaketus It's the best looking AC game, period.

Playing the PC version is so nice to look at it's almost distracting.
