It may not be suppressive of free speech but it is cowardly. If you're going to post something you know - and yes, there's no way they expected anything else - is going to controversial, then you had better be ready to withstand the crap that follows. Silencing and hiding from those you disagree with is pathetic. It's like that Sarkeesian chick on youtube. People are going to disagree with you. My biggest gripe here is that you're also hurting everyone who wasn't being a jerk. Some of us kind of wanted to discuss the thing.

If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. You have mods for a reason. Very disappointed in GS right now. I'm surprised that thing even got posted. It looks very exploitive and chock full of negative stereotypes.

If you're referring to Halo/BF/COD I can understand your frustration. Games like Far Cry 3, Bioshock Infinite, Deus Ex, Metro, and Rage are all really good single player FPS titles though. If you haven't checked those out, I say do so

It's been reported MANY times at this point. I don't know what if anything is being done to fix it at this point. Temporary fix, manually unfollow the article every time you comment. It's a pain, but it's less of a pain than deleting 3000 emails

At least the unfollow button is working. Before you had to manually unsubscribe via one of the emails

I would guess at this point they're actually working on it. But no fix yet. You can block Gamespot, or manually unsubscribe every time you comment.

Yes, it's livefyre. You comment on an article, you automatically are subscribed to it. You have to manually unsubscribe every time you comment because every comment in an article starts the emails.
