Skins is what alot of British Teens watch but IMO it's total garbage, it advertises drinking and drugs. I watch the inbetweeners which is the sort of comedy equivelant, it kind of makes a mockery of what male teen brits do. I don't personally watch much TV so I can't really help much. Mainly because I think alot of what is on is rubbish. When I used to watch TV alot though I watched American shows like CSI and Frasier. Oh and sometimes now I watch Desperate Housewives. Hope this helps. I'm a teenager btw. :P

[QUOTE="fracot"] What I mean is if I walk past something and look at it, and the corner is blocked by some other object, I have to back up and see that corner. I do the same thing as your g/f to remember things but in a slightly different way, I like to map everything in my head. When my OCD is bad I map my thinking patterns to images. It is very pointless and unnecessary thinking. For example If I am watching a film I may recap on a part to 'fully' understand it, I do this by mapping every scene and then 'flying' over them tracing the movements of the characters. Hope this explains it a bit better.quadraleap

Thats very much for explaining. I understand what you mean by corners now...and I almost do about images....but I cant quite bridge the gap on it. If my scanner was connected I'd show you what she drew, and perhaps you could relate to it and explain it in a way that I could understand. Maybe its just one of those things that one has to experience, or perhaps I do it in some manner and I just dont realise it. I really want to understand for myself and relating to her.

It good of you to try and understand it for her. It is quite hard to understand and I don't think anybody could fully understand it without experiencing it. That was just one example I gave you, there are many others, for example once I had a massive map in my head of everything i did with sub-compartments, that was very stressful. I think you just need to talk to her to understand it, I have tried to explain it to people but most just don't understand, a couple of people though have understood it very well so it is possible. If you want to explain what she put more just send me a pm.

Just use a cloth. It's worse for me, ever since I put my ps3 downstairs it gets covered in dust and my family have managed to scratch it :(

[QUOTE="fracot"]

Mine is thinking and looking, If I miss the corner of something and I have to go back and look at it or if something is slightly wrong I double take. I think alot about everything and make image maps in my head to complicate things, very annoying. Anyway what's yours? If you are unfortunate enough to have a form of OCD... :(

What do you mean by "missing the corner of something"? And also, could you describe more about the image maps? My g/f told me about how she remembers numbers and the alphabet and wrote them out in the way she saw them, which was up, down, left and right. It was the first time anyone had ever told/showed me something like that.

I count the segments that make up the numbers on a digital clock: 1 has two segments, 2 and 3 have five, 4 has four, 5 has five, 6 has six, 7 is three, 8 is seven, 9 and 0 are six. I count all the segments up and they have to be an even number, preferably 10 or 20. Alarm light indicators, AM/PM lights, and the hour/min separator ( : ) are fair game as well. If they add up to 17 (my most hated #), I have to keep watching without blinking until it switches (I don't know why, don't ask :P), then count and hopefully strike an even number. I also have a problem counting angles everywhere for some reason; they also must turn out even.

Theses compulsions are not that bad, but they do get irritating at some points.

That is a very interesting compulsion!
