Luck Is On My Side

Today has been a very good day for me in both life and in video games. So Im going to tell you all about it the best way.

-Today is July 4th, Independence Day, and it was good luck on my side. How? I didn't blow any of my fingers off when I was lighting fireworks with a few of my friends and my baseball coach. You see my coach sells fireworks and he had some leftover and he brought them to the field and we lit them off the whole night. Quite fun and lucky no one died.

-So today I felt good. I woke up and had my bowl of Honeycomb and I was thinking what game I was going to play after I'm done. My decision at first was Vegas 2 cause thats awsome and me and Pooptart(Gearhead) have been playing alot of it together recently, but no I needed to beat Qu3bed once and for all. BAM! 14,175 was the final score I got. 100% GTA IV Complete. Total Playtime 79 hrs 29mins and 32secs.

-After that I played Vegas 2 with the Pooptart and I did extremly well and got a couple of achievements in the game. The first being Get 100 kills with a Light Machine Gun, Second, Get 500 kills total. So my gamerscore rose quite a bit today. BTW I'm back in the Vegas mood so If any of you want to play just let me know.

-After Vegas I had to go mow, so I am $20 closer to getting my PS3. I mowed 2 laws and one of the guys wasn't there this week and last week so he will owe me $45 next week. Speaking of money I have $345 out of $475. $130 more bucks.

-I wanted to play a game and listen to this weeks Giant Bombcast so I was examining my games and Call of Duty 4 caught my attention. I popped it in and played one multiplayer match and got bored so I was going to try and complete the level "Charlie Don't Surf" on Veteran difficulty and would you look at that I beat it my first try.

-Finished watching Season 3 of Lost and have watched 4 episodes of Season 4. I love this show!!

Bye!

Need Some Help!

Ok I dont know what to do here so Im going to ask my favorite people here for you help. Now I cant decide which version of the PS3 to get. I could either get the 40GB for 428$ with tax and I could get that soon because I need about 100$ to get that, or I could get the 80GB MGS4 bundle for 475$. I could get the 40 sooner but the 80 has more HD space and has the Dualshock 3. My mom still will buy a game so if I get the MGS4 bundle PS3 she would just pay 60$ for that. So Im kind of in a predicament here.

Which one should I get?

Got A New......Book?

Today we went to target to get some sun screen and mosquito spray and I was walking along and I saw an interesting book.

No Country for Old Men (Vintage International)

From what I've read it follows the movie pretty well. Should be pretty good since the movie was fantastic.

So todays vacation day was spent mostly indoors because the weather was crappy. So we woke up late and I started playing Vegas 2 with Mr. Pooptart and that was quite fun. Hope to play more with you guys later tonight. They also added the update which gives you more ranks and more ACES ranks. Played a little COD4 as well and that game is still amazing.

So after I played Vegas and COD we went to target and I got the book, we got home and I watched Lost Season 3 for awhile and a very big surprise happend. Right now Im of course making this and listening to From the Bleachers while its raining outside. So hopefully tomorrow the weather will be better tomorrow so I can go fishing.

Grand Theft Auto IV is also pissing me off. That damn QU3ED is making me mad and its the last 1.25% I need for 100%.

Well Im going to finish listening to the podcast and then go play some Vegas.

Join me in Vegas tonight!

Cya!

Vacation Day 1

So today is the end of the first day of my 5 day vacation at a lake house on More Lake. The drive up here was about 2.5 hours and during that time I listend to both Giant Bombcast and The Hotspot and they were both very good and funny. So we got in to this very nice house and we got all of our rooms situated and then, since it was such a gorgeous day today we went in the lake and swam and paddle boated for most of the day. So we finished up our time in the water at about 6:30 and then we went and had some supper(stake and maccaroni!) After we were all done with supper and got the dishes cleaned up we started a bon fire and we had smores. So now its about 11 o clock and here I am typing up this blog. Obviously the house we are staying in has internet connection and its wireless so I did bring the 360 but havent played it yet and probably will just a little bit tonight. You know sometimes its nice just to take a little break from gaming and spend some more time with the family.

So tomorrows plan is to sleep in obviously and then start fishing. This is a very chill vacation with very little running around and just relaxing in the lake and you know just having a good time.

I'll update you guys tomorrow with Day 2 of vacation!

Going on Vacation!

Tomorrow me and my family are going to a lake house for 5 days(monday-friday) so I wont be here. My mom is bringing her laptop and if the lake house has internet connection I might be able to give you guys updates while I am there. My dad also asked me to bring one of my game systems to watch movies at night so I'll bring my 360 and maybe 1 or 2 games but yet again if the house has internet Ill be on XBL and you guys can talk to me if you want.

Anyways this weekend we had a baseball tournement and we got 3rd place. On Saturday we played 2 games and we won them both and I went 8-8 batting through the entire day and played 2nd base both games. Today which is Sunday we played 2 more games and we lost the first one which brought us to the 3rd place bracket and the 2nd game we played a team from Canada, Ontario to be exact, but we killed them 11-0 and I went 6-8 for the day batting and once again played 2nd both games. So I had alot of fun with baseball this weekend and I batted really well with 2 triple, 1 double, and the rest singles in all the games this weekend.

Not really playing anything because I'm really bored with the games I have now. Its been a long time since I have purchased a new game. I really need to 100% GTA, I'm so close! I found all the pigeons and I have about 20 stunt jumps left and then I'm done. But this entire week I did not even touch games, instead I watched a ton of Lost and if you saw an earlier blog I finished watching Season 2 and am now almost half-way through Season 3 and I have to say that this is the best show ever!

Also the Battlefield: Bad Company trailers are the best trailers I have ever seen. The one making fun of Gears of War was cracking me up for awhile and the Rainbow Sprinkles was also hilarious and the one making fun of Metal Gear Solid was even better. Speaking of Metal Gear Solid (SEGWAY!) I am still working on saving up for the PS3. Right now I have 325$ out of 535$ saved up and I really really need to get it soon cause I am really bored right now.

So this weekend I plan to do some things. First off I want to get rid of my farmers tan cause you know all the babes find that attractive) 2nd I want to do some fishing which I am the only person in my family that likes it and the only time that I can fish is if my cousin invites me to go to his cabin. 3rd I want to read a little bit of a book I have yet to choose.

Also I got new hockey skates for this camp Im doing the week after I get back. They are Reebok 5K Pumps and they are very nice and give me alot of ankle support. I also broke my stick taking slap shots so Ill have to get a new one sometime soon.

Well this is the longest blog I have written in quite sometime. I would like to thank you if you have read this far. Comments are welcome and you can tell me all about my typos in this blog.

See you guys next week!!

My Questions Answered on On The Spot

During the Schizoid segment I sent in the question about the achievements and the mentioning of Flow was mine too:) Cool! Check it out for yourself. Another of my questions is answerd in the Naruto segment and when Kristen said where I was she said Otaawa Minnesota and its Owatonna Minnesota. Aaand in the Happy Tree friends segment I got a question answered on that one too.

Did I Just Cry?

Yeah I just finished Metal Gear Solid 3 and I actually teared up a bit. Thats a first of me crying in any game before. But wow that game is amazing, that last part on the motorcycle is extremly intense an it seriously felt like an action movie but with a fantastic story.

With me completeing this game that is the first of my goals completed. When I was done watching the final cutscence I popped in the original Metal Gear Solid and did all the VR Missions.....goal #2 complete. That last survival mode you have to do is a bi***. So when I was done with that I put in MGS2 and did the Snake Tales, Mission Mode, and VR Missions.....goal #3 completed.

So now its time for me to complete GTA IV 100%. I have 18 birds and all of the stunt jumps left and then Im done. After that its Okami which has taken me awhile to beat but I will beat it for sure. Im going to go pigeon hunting and listen to the new Giant Bombcast while doing it!

Bye!

What a Cool Dude

[video=I31hljes5b0JvzXf]

After watching this video I just want to say thank you Denis for all of your fantastic contribuitions to this site. Keep doing what you are doing, making videos and blogs that many of us love to read and watch. Gamespot would'nt be the same without you Denis!

MGS2 Complete!

Man MGS is such a fantastic series! I wish I would have gotten into it sooner but better late then never right? So today I beat Metal Gear Solid 2 and the ending was very very awsome en though the last cutscence was about an hour long but it was a very informative and action packed ending to a great game.

So immediately after I beat MGS2 I popped in MGS3 and in the Essential Collection in which I got it in, it gives you the Subsistence version. The main difference between this version and the original is the camera which is like Metal Gear Solid 4. I really like the new camera angle. I didn't like it at first though but you get use to it and you may just like it a bit better.

So with me having a sudden splurge of awsomeness in my brain for Metal Gear Solid I was thinking I should start saving up for a PS3. I am making quite a bit of money now these days and hopefully by the end of summer I should have enough money to get a PS3 along with Metal Gear Solid 4.

Now what will I be doing the time Im saving up for one? Well I'll give you in a list form of what im going to do while I save up for a PS3.

1. Beat MGS3

1. Go back and do VR Missions in Metal Gear Solid

3. Go back and do Mission Mode, Snake Tales, and VR Missions in MGS2

4. Complete GTA IV 100% - I'm almost there already!

5. Finish Okami

6. Beat both expansion packs of FEAR Files

7. Complete Bully 100%

8. Complete GTA 3, Vice City, and Vice ity Stories

9. Beat Final Fantasy 7

So I have quite alot to do while I save up and Ill still rent games as well, so I wont be totally just doing this stuff.

And also I got my report card today and I got all A's and since I did that my mom will buy me a game and that game will be Battlefield Bad Company.

Please no flameing for my decision!

P.S.- Question: Which version of PS3 should I buy and why?

Bye!
