Education, military, police, entertainment, all manners of production,legislation,court/judiciary system, prison system and transportation.

Those are the big ones i want complete federal government control of.

Note: I may have missed some, more can be added later.

i can understand some of your choices... but entertainment and all manners of production?!??!? why? that's a bit much,

Entertainment was a bit much. A government should concern itself with entertainment but it shouldn't have complete control. I'll take that off the list.

in an abundance based economy only a government should produce for the citizens. Manuel labour is not required and production jobs should not exist outside of government work (which would mostly be machine maintenance, a skilled job). In the proper society unskilled labour is not required and should be looked down upon when done by the individual.

well, besides that you should realize how your view is colored by being born on the more advantageous side of this issue, to care about anywhere else is also your only chance for peace, or at least a somewhat peaceful existence. i think being unfair and on a structural basis, amongst other things, creates great frustration which will lead to enemies you can't beat because they can't lose. like the ones we call terrorists that have shown they can pop up anywhere at any time no matter how many drones you let up.

dramaybaz

of course i'm biased. It is only natural for the strong to try and impose on the weak (there is a very fine line between this and thrasymachus' fallacy).

Also peace is not ideal. if peace was the norm or the only option, it would be very difficult for us to take what we want from other nations.

I could probably say the same that I don't care about US lives because that isn't where I was born. But as a human, that would be a dick thing for me to say, so no. Being born somewhere by chance doesn't make me selfish and hateful to others, it could have been any place on the World.

You have every "right" to, it's only human.

Also i am not "hateful" i just care more about creating a perfect nation state.

That is exactly the wrong thing to think. It is better for the government to do nothing than to pass new laws that control the entire country without anyone even knowing whether the laws are good or bad. Good laws, regulations, decisions, etc. do not happen by chance. They are formed by deliberate actions made by a conscious and reasoning government. If you cannot know that something will work, then it probably will not.

fixed.

your welcome lai.

Well, considering it's my job, I know alot that people don't.

Lord_Omikron666

A fellow aeronautical engineer perhaps?

we need more on OT.

Not exactly, I'm actually involved with UAV ops, though I do know a bit about aeronautics since I'm around pilots all the time.

I actually worked on the team that put hellfires on the predator and worked on the reaper (only for a short time). But i don't work at GA (general atomics) anymore so i don't do much with drones now.

bad? thumbs down? like what's your preference, mate, on MASS MURDER BEING PERPETRATED WITH REMOTE CONTROLLED AERIAL VEHICLES, how do you feel about all that? strike yer fancy or no?

As long as it's the other guy it sounds great. civilian casualties are super low compared to other methods.

i can't think of anything wrong with them.

uncleowen

That's what I'm afraid of.

Whats wrong with killing people in a war? It's a great way for a nation to expand, gain resources, remove threats,jump-start the economy and it even spurs technological advancement (not to mention all this greatly benefits the citizens of the winning nation).

The real question is "whats right with pacifism"?

They put the enemy out of work, and then their families starve. Do you like making people starve?
