[QUOTE="frannkzappa"][QUOTE="GrindingAxe"] Really? You don't think there should be a safety net for the less fortunate? People who are diagnosed with some real crappy stuff that takes a lot of money to take care of? Just let them die...even if their situation started at a very young age. Its all about "hey, if you got the money, then your good, if not, just die". Is that what your saying?GrindingAxe
to a certain extent, i don't think the poor should be abandoned i just think they aren't entitled to money and benefits as much as the middle class is, keep in mind this only applies to a post industrial society like the USA. however when it comes to people with disabilities, disorders or people shafted by life in general i believe they should be protected on a case by case basis.
I agree actually. But to an extent. Its all about what do the individuals do for themselves. If they don't give a damn about their own health...why should anyone else? At the same time, if there is a poor person who is trying to do better, but not finding any luck, but gets lumped in with the crappy ass no good for anything crowd...how is that fair? Its hard to distinguish good poor from "just die poor" since the only measuring stick is money. What I'm trying to say is...there are some worthy poor people out their, who can become unpoor, and give good things to society if given a little help.in an ideal world the educational system should prevent this.
