When they put Colbert in the movie for a cameo role it made me think they weren't really treating the material or audience with respect.dave123321

i dont see whats wrong with this... colbert is a huge fantasy nut, tolkian nerd, avid DnD player as well as an AMAZING actor.

i imagine what ever small role they give him will be done with the utmost respect. if there was anyone i could count on playing a minor tolkian character authentically it would be colbert.

[QUOTE="nocoolnamejim"][QUOTE="PurdueBoilers"] Whew, thanks for the link. That settles it. No reason to distrust anything that comes out as we've never been lied to before.PurdueBoilers
In other words, there is no information or source that you would accept as legitimate that proves you wrong. Fair enough. I guess I should have expected that going in.

Rather, I prefer not being spoon-fed information and accepting it without performing my due diligence. Especially, from a government that was caught in a huge lie just weeks ago. I would hope you feel the same way.

[QUOTE="gamerguru100"][QUOTE="dave123321"] 100000 out of texans that know about this budhartsickdiscipl

It won't even be that much of a concern if one million people sign. 1,000,000 isn't even 10% of 25 million. They're all just butt hurt because a black man is running a second term for president. Seceding is treason, so the federal government won't allow secession. If they all get violent, riot police and the coast guard will take care of it. The South will not rise again, sorry. :P They aren't gonna get Civil War 2.0. Not in the 21st century.

You're ignorant as hell for assuming that this has anything to do with race. It's absolutely maddening to see someone try to use that tired old argument. The issue is the incompetence of the federal government and the fact that our president supports things like the Patriot Act, the TSA, and NDAA. That should be more than enough reason to want to get away.

hmmm seems to me that i like all those things.. seems like me and Texas have some disagreements, oh wait only .4%(at max) of texas supports this guess i dont have to worry.

[QUOTE="frannkzappa"]

hmm guess the AP books i used were held to a higher standard then.

br0kenrabbit

Dunno, most of my studies were AP as well. But even my college textbooks were riddled with errors.

i didn't even have "text books" at my university.

so i guess i may be a bit out of touch.

well it really depends on how long of a ride he is planning.

True -- and how tall he is! The only difference I could discern with the green cars was that you get more leg-room

you mean legroom period lol.

[QUOTE="frannkzappa"]

were in the hell did your school get those books???

i can however guarantee that the textbooks are by no means that messed on a regular basis.

br0kenrabbit

It's actually quite common. Many textbooks are full of errors.

Twelve of the most popular science textbooks used at middle schools across the nation are riddled with errors, according to a two-year study led by a North Carolina State University researcher.

The errors range from maps depicting the equator passing through the southern United States to a photo of singer Linda Ronstadt labeled as a silicon crystal.

None of the 12 textbooks has an acceptable level of accuracy, according to N.C. State physics professor John Hubisz, the report's author.

"These are terrible books, and they're probably a strong component of why we do so poorly in science," on standardized tests, he said.

"The books have a very large number of errors, many irrelevant photographs, complicated illustrations, experiments that could not possibly work, and drawings that represented impossible situations."
