It's always the same thing. A reviewer gives a game a bad score, and a swarm of angry fanboys flock in, to mock the other camp. I will stay off that path, as that pre-teen behavior brings nothing to the table, but stupidity and futile arguments.
I did not try yet Driveclub, and I'm not sure I will in the upcoming weeks either. Reviews around the Web are not very good, 7-hish or something, and words are pretty much the same everywhere. Bland, and boring. Maybe that's true. But one thing is sure, it really looks like the old days of straightforward arcade racing titles are really over. These days, we expect more from our games, we always want more content... despite playing less and less hours each one of our titles, and buying always more and more games overall.
Pretty paradox.
Anyway, I really wanted a good racing title for the PS4 as I don't have any right now to put my theet on. GT6 was very very bad, and because of that, the last time I had the chance to play a great racing title was ages ago.
I guess I will have to wait for The Crew, or PCars.
And BTW, I never said anything against Forza. IMO, I think Forza is a better franchise than GT since GT4. Kudos to Turn10 for that. Fanboys claiming that "cows" (or PS users if you prefer) are saying all around that Driveclub was going to kill Forza or that Forza is a bad game overall are just crazy T-rolls making up so called facts.
I'm a GT planet member and every damm forum member respect Forza as a Franchise. And the vast majority of folks - even on here - are thinking the same way.
So sorry, Bunchanumbers and others facts maker, but the only people you guys are able to fool are yourselves.
That being said, FH2 and DC are both two completely different games. FH2 may be better, more fun and everything but they are still 100% different. Comparing them was very unprofessional, Mr Van Ord.
Fun to Watch, but I would never buy that. It's overpriced crap. And in a few days, will end up collecting dust in the closet for 99% of the population.
Got that game on my PS4, and it's 100% broken. Problem is the dev decided to not even bother to adapt buttons and interface to the PS4. The result is a poor and difficult to navigate experience.
