My 37" Sharp LCD that I bought on Friday says 1080i when I'm at the XMB on my PS3 or when I watch Blu-Rays. When I put in a game it switches to 720p. What is the difference between i and p?KH-mixerX
I=interlaced P=Progressive

1.in ur router settings change the channel to 1 or 11. the default is 6(sometimes it will say default even though its actually on 6) phones are tuned into channel 6 and cause interference with other wireless devices.

2. make sure ur "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" is set on automatic in your connection properties (change it later to match ur new router after u get connected)

3. make sure u know whether you have a dynamic connection(DSL or Cable), static(special sercvice with special modem) or others, and set it to the one that u have.

4. go to ur router and set factory defaults

5. reset your router by pressing the reset button in the back

6. unplug your modem(only power), then router(only power) wait 7 min or so then plug in your modem wait 2min(seriously wait 2 min) then plug in your router

7. reset network settings in windows

its most likely #1, and #2 if u configured those settings from a previous router. try all of them.

Since you have DSL I assume you have to log on with a username and password in order to access the internet, is this correct? If so, you cant use dhcp, your going to need a static ip in order to use the router. Its been so long since I've had DSL things may have changed since then. Setting your internet protocol will work just for your modem, but once you hook up your router, it is assigning your ip address, not the modem. So, while you just have the modem hooked up and not the router, go into your command prompt and type in ipconfig/all. What your looking for here is your DNS servers, you should have 2 of them. Right them down. Now configure your ip address to a static connection. You can use any ip address, I suggest something like 192.168.0.100 since you have a dlink. Your default gateway will be 192.168.0.1 which is the same as your router ip address. Then put in your dns server addresses. After thats done you will need to go into your router and set it to static as well. I suggest keeping 192,168.0.1 as the router ip address. If you have any problems you may need to contact d-link or your internet provider and have them walk you through it. Dont let your dsl carrier tell you that since it works straight out the modem that they cant help because it BS. They have an obligation to assist customers.

Lets not forget Ubisoft and the infamous RELOADED crack they used in a patch. For some reason the name of the game evades me. I think maybe it was Rainbow Six Vegas 2 but dont quote me.

depends on whether or not you intend to play any multi player. If you do I would go with OB. If not go with Bioshock. I dont understand why people love Crysis, it just wasnt my cup of tea.

Hook it back up to component and if the blu ray works then your tv isnt hdcp. If it doesnt work, then you may have a problem with your ps3 that just happened to arise after you hooked up hdmi. You didnt happen to handle it carelessly did you?

[QUOTE="freesafety13"]You cant get much bigger than Philips, Pioneer, and Toshiba. It doesnt suprise me that Sony would stop producing DLP's. Their DLP's werent very good to begin with. Bebi_vegeta

Pioneer doesn't mention it will stop... they just said they will stop the 42"... do you even read your links?

As I said earlier, I didnt want to link to a Pioneer article describing how they were going to phase out plasma production. But, since my previous links didnt work, I decided to link to a article that at least gives something about Pioneer phasing out plasma. I wish I could find more info, but its just not out there, or I dont know the right places to look.

I can careless, the new dash looks decent but it doesn't really matter. If the games are good why should the dashboard even come into question.xmitchconnorx
XBMC>NXE or Blades. Too bad M$ will never allow XBMC on the 360. NXE is surprisingly difficult to navigate for me. And is it me, or have they removed the ability to search for just free online content, like themes, videos, demos, etc..?
