I personally feel that, if anything, games are closer to an indication of our personality than an actual influence on our behavior. For example, I struggle with playing an evil character when given the choice in a game, as does my brother. Another example: watching people take the time to bow in Dark Souls before they rush to attack you says a lot about them, even without actually talking to them.
Could those who play the demo, with or without problem, post their PS3 model and how the demo performed? If the lockups are system related, maybe we could find a pattern among which models are experiencing glitches and which aren't.
Maybe we could ACTUALLY make he comments section useful for once.
@Wula_ @PlatinumPaladin The PS3 is notoriously difficult to program for compared to the 360. Hopefully, this embarrassment will make them aware they need to focus on this version a bit more.
It looks great except for the bugs. And there's even the classic stealth mechanic! Maybe the version that's supposed to hit the PS Store later this year will be in better condition. If not, that's when I'll start to worry.
@sadscooterpipe "WHAT IN THE %$#! is all of this completely unrealistic ninja/cyborg/sword play doing in my stealth action shooter that I love so much!? HOW can this be called Metal Gear? Just looks unbearable..."
I assume you are referring to Metal Gears Solid 4 with this statement. You know, the game where Raiden single handedly takes out a group of Gekkos before NO handedly fighting a group of soldiers with his sword in his teeth. And before that he stopped a huge taker from crushing Snake with only one arm. These elements have been around for a long time. In fact, Metal Gear Solid had the series' first sword wielding cyborg ninja in it. I don't see how you can complain about Rising without including these things as well.
It's been a while since a game has held me for 70 hours, but Dark Souls has. Besides BF3 and a couple of smaller titles, its all I've been playing. I'm honestly wondering how good an idea it was to ask for and receive the three games I got this Christmas. I don't see myself wanting to stop, even after finally getting Skyrim.
