Yeah Spencer better be careful throwing stones in a glass house. Microsoft was not exactly a woke company either. I mean they are dealing with their own lawsuits. And they been dealing with them constantly for a decade.

Nothing wrong with admitting your move is an attempt to compete. The problem is this particular move could be seen as illegal. Tanking your own profits to hurt your competition is somewhere in anti-trust law i am pretty sure.

And you call me kid when you are obviously not even old enough to know what happened between nintendo and playstation. First of all playstation was not even thought of in the late 80s. Super Nintendo was released in 90 I know this because i bought my first one in basic training in the army and shipped it home to my younger brother.
And there was no feud between Nintendo and Playstation. Playstation blitzed the market and killed all competition it was exclusives that kept Nintendo afloat. And Nintendo was hurting itself before playstation did anyway with their turn to kid friendly content(mortal Kombat green blood for example).
Games went to Sony on their own because playstation was a HUGE jump in technology. Not because sony bought them out. Nintendo screwed themselves by being too old and thinking all gamers were kids.
And Nintendo flat abandoned alot of their exclusives and never let anyone else continue them. Well most were not totally abandoned but by putting them on handhelds only they might as well be.
@xnshd: Myself I would be happier if there was no exclusives. How much better would Zelda be on the xbox or playstation? And this not exclusive anyway. Microsoft tried this EXACT thing with Oblivion and failed and ended up releasing it on playstation the following year anyway. And btw the playstation version still outsold the xbox version a full year later.
Could care less if xbox got playstation exclusives. You incorrectly assume this is a playstation vs xbox argument. This is a gaming industry vs gamer argument. Both sides are wrong but Microsoft is the offender atm.
Point to this entire thing is that Spencer is a liar. And that elder scrolls excluding other consoles is not good news for gamers. These are facts and Whether it is a good business move or not is debatable.
@bdrtfm: Not all and you do realize that NONE of sony's exclusives were an established blockbuster when they were bought?
This is a far different situation then normal exclusives. I mean Elder Scrolls was popular before Microsoft was even in the console gaming business. Even though morrowwind was a better game Oblivion sold MUCH more because it was put on consoles.
And btw Microsoft tried this before with Oblivion they released it on pc and xbox because they were getting beat so bad by playstation on sales. It did not work the next year when it was released on playstation it STILL outsold the xbox version.
@xnshd: Makes you more profitable not better. Microsoft might be a juggernaut in the software space but they are horrible in the gaming space. And if you looking at the business from a moral standpoint Microsoft definitely lose.

@bdrtfm: They should but what makes you think that? I mean bloodborne plays more like it was designed for PC yet its been ps only for over 6 years. And i guarantee you its the best Rpg released in those 6 years. So obviously they do not care and were not exactly smart about it either because they would of made ALOT of money.
But same can be said about ES6 Playstation has a FAR larger playerbase then xbox. Heck the Switch still has a larger playerbase then Xbox last I heard. Both companies throwing away money in their competition and the real losers are the gamers. Do you want gaming to be like TV streaming where you have to have 5 different services to get all the content you want?
You are right I do care but not about the exclusivity of a single game but the practices as a whole. And Microsoft is the bigger offender because ES6 like just about everything else at Microsoft is not their idea it is stolen from others.
@xnshd: I know that trillion dollars does not make them smarter then Sony because with MUCH less money they beat Xbox every year by ALOT. So obviously having alot of money does not make you smarter.
Could care less about the exclusivity. But do not like Microsoft lying to my face and thinking people that stupid to believe this decision was anything but an attempt to hurt sony and help themselves.
Lets face it though their attempt at getting a real exclusive will never work because nothing on xbox is ever exclusive its on pc too. Real reason they get beat so bad on sales is because playstation has exclusives you can not play anywhere else.
And microsoft being dumb anyway because lets face it the kind of person that even cares about exclusive games has a gaming pc. Because PC has always had more exclusives then all the consoles combined. SO this move is not going to drive sales of the xbox all they doing is losing customers to buy their game. So not only is Microsoft lying but they are stupid too.
