The Countdown

is this the final announcement Microsoft saved up for E3 after the big Final Fantasy XIII announcement ? .

By the way I was a little dissapointed with Microsofts Press Conference at E3 2008 .

Sure Microsoft did 1 hell of a job in attracting casual gamers with games like lips , banjo kazooie 3 , portal still alive ,south park, but where are those games for the Hardcore gamer in the first place , well my question itself was answered at e3 by Cliffy B .

The New Gears of War 2 footage freaked me out completely & there is absolutely no doubt that Gears 2 looks phenomenal in every respect, Fable 2 & Banjo looks promising to me , Final Fantasy 13 didnt had much to do for me since i have both a ps3 & 360 , but there was something that was missing , i expected some new ips & sequels from Microsoft Game Studios like a Forza 3 , A new squad based Halo which was rumoured all week long , no Halo wars demo , nothing on Alan Wake , no new first party games , no Dead Rising 2 ,no Crackdown 2 announcement felt dissapointing to say the least, an anouncement or two for games in 2009 would ve been sweet . so i felt kinda dissapointed with ms this year .

MS is hitting sony real hard this gen ( dont get me wrong guys, i love both the playstation & microsoft brand , just my opinion , so dont get me wrong on this 1 ), its no secret that MS is all keen to win this gen ,they got some of sonys finest third party exclusives like GTA IV , DMC 4 ,& now probably sony s biggest third party exclusive Final Fantasy 13, gotta hand it to ms for making it happen ,ms surely knows how business is done . its nothing new when it comes to console wars. Playstation did it with the dremacast , now it looks to me that its Ms turn . all in all Ms has done a gr8 job in bringing up a ton of rpgs for the 360 platform , Ms is doing really well this gen , they ve already got the best online experience with xbl , gr8 third party support , some gr8 exclusives like Gears of War , Halo 3 , Forza 2 , Viva Pinata, Ninja Gaiden 2 ,Dead Rising , Mass Effect ,GTA IV Dlc .

The new dashboard looks very neat, the avatars are awesome & a copy cat from wiis mii :P ( just got it confirmed at giantbombs latest podcast that old gamerpics & themes will be compatible with new dashboard , so need to worry :wink: ), netfix puts more icing to 360 s cake . Gears 2 , Fable 2 , Banjo Kazooie 3 looks really good for the 360 platform . plus with games like lips & banjo kazooie 3 , arcades like portal still alive ,southpark & the original banjo game , ms is all set to widen its appeal for the casual gamers too, all in All ms did a good job this year at E3 for thier line up of games in 2008 .

Bungie s site s having a Countdown at the moment ,i do smell a new halo , hope that bungie announces a new Halo. I am looking forward to Sony press conference today, hopefully sony wont dissapoint me the way ms did , i know that a God of War 3 teaser will be shown :), i ve got my finers crossed on that 1 , plus i expect sony to unviel more games for the psp platform , its about time they start thinking about the psp seriously , sure we got chains of olympus , patapon , crisis core & star wars this year , but i expect more decent line up & hope they stop porting psp games for the ps2 , i expect a ton of stage demos including killzone 2 , motorstorm 2 , lbp , r2 , new warhawk dlc , socom confrontation & infamous . hope sony does a gr8 job again just like what they did last year . From nintendo i dont have that manny expectations since i dont have a Wii , but a new pokemon game for the ds, wii or a New DS would be sweet . I am happy 4 my friends that love rpgs & only have a 360 , now they ll be able to play 1 of thier favourite franchise on the 360 , congrats guys , enjoy FF 13 when its out . i a m a little sick at the moment :(, got some fever , i ve got not that much time to write more ,so this blog is just my comment that i made on 1 of my newest & coolest gs friend s blog that i made sometime ago .

Sony , you better show us a Teaser for God of War III now , crossing my fingers on this 1 :oops: :wink:.

EDIT - I just finished watching both Nintendo ,Sony Press conferences & most of the e3 stuff , nintendo - dont even ask me about nintendos press conf , the worst E3 press conference ever , the only thing that really excited me was Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars & Spore for The DS .

Sony s press conference on the other hand was the best out of the 3 for me , they finally announced God of War 3 , here is the God of War 3 Trailer :oops: . we finally saw Kratos in GOW III & it was absolutely stunning to see kratos on the ps3 , thanks a lot sony .

Plus a whole bunch of new psp games were announced & over a 130 ps2 games , now thats really awesome that sony aint giving up on the ps2 anytime soon . New Resistance for the psp is just plain sweet , though i didnt enjoyed the first game that much , but with the resistance 2 footage & psp resistance , i am looking forward to this franchise . overall the press conference wasnt filled with that much surprises , a new Ratchet & clank game was announced for the ps3 , which btw is gr8 news for platformers .

Zipper Interactive showed up to the Sony PRess Conference in Los Angeles for E3 2008 to talk about their newest giant video game project, MAG.

MAG stands for Massive Action Game, which may sound like a misnomer, but from what Sony is showing at the show that may just be facts.

MAG will support up to 256 players online, in eight player squads. Each squad gets a captain and there is a character growth system that allows players to level up. Medics, commandos, and field demolition characters are just some of the character types.

This all takes place in one world, which according to the trailer is a dirty, barren kind of place. The trailer shown wasn't straight gameplay, but showed a large assortment of weapons, vehicles, and characters.

No release date was announced for MAG.

I wonder how in the hell is all that goona work :roll: :lol: , is it Bye Bye time for Warhawk or every online game available on this planet :P , guess we ll find about that sooner or later. not only this

I ve always wanted to play The Metal Gear Series , but never got the time to play it , Recently i started Playing MGS 3 Snake Eater & all i must say is that i am glad that i finally played my most awaited ps2 game of all time after resident evil 4( which btw i still need to play :P ) .there are No MGS SPOLIERS in here , SO FELL FREE TO READ :wink:

i played mgs 3 last week , it was absolute fun , the stealth was uber awesome , i ve never played too manny stealth games in the past , so mgs felt like a total package with an awesome storyline & super awesome cutscenes , a lot of people scared me about the cutscene lengths of mgs games , but i never really bothered , i love cutscenes & storylines that are deeper in a video game . i was very sure that mgs wont dissapoint , mgs 3 being my first game played in the mgs franchise was an absolute blast , not only its one of the best looking ps2 games out there , but one of the best games ever made . there is a boss fight callled " The End " in it , that fight took me a lot of patience to beat it , me being a guy who love challenges enjoyed this fight a lot , once i figured out how to beat him , i played it again & again , beat him 3 times :lol:. the later parts of the game were really awesome ,i was almost done with it , untill my pre ordered MGS 4 arrived .

So , i started Playing it . the intro was superb , the cutscenes , graphics were simply stunning , the camera angle felt quiet neat after mgs 3 , the environments were just superb , i like the way the cutscenes end & its back to normal gameplay & your hud appears .after playing mgs 3 , stealth in mgs 4 felt very very satisfying . i finished ACT 1 . after beating act 1 , i felt like that i need to know more about the charachters in the mgs universe . so i stopped playing after act 1 . i discussed with friends on gamespot about what to do , to play mgs 4 now or to first play mgs 3 , 1 & 2 all in a row , after a lot of discussions i decided that i ll be beating mgs 3, 1 & 2 first ,then get back to mgs 4 . now if only i get the time from warhawk to play mgs 3 & finish it :P .

Back on the road to become a General

as all of you already know i am a big time Warhawk Fan , having played it for over a 200 plus hours in the past , it was an absolute blast & leaving warhawk became a real big problem for me , all was well untill the operation broker mirror dlc rolled out , since it was region locked , i was forced to quit it , i was very dissapointed with this fact that i cant have the warhawk dlc . there is big problem with sony s dlc . most of it is region locked . further more you need the same psn Account , region Disc & Downloaded content to acces the dlc . not fair to those who live outside the U.S & U.K . after a lot of help on warhawk forums , people suggested me to download the warhawk dlc from the hong kong psn store since it accepts credit cards from asia , while us & uk psn stores doesnt accept credit cards outside the u.s , especiallly asia . i had a E.U version warhawk disc with me , so i made a new id last week ,picked up the dlc from hk psn store , since the dlc is region locked , i bought another warhawk ( digitally) from the hk store in order to access the dlc . I Finally got the dlc & it was an absolute blast , it was everything i expected out of it , incognito has done 1 hell of a job in supporting warhawk , with operation broken mirror , its very clear that the developer had gone the extra mile by improving its graphics & improving the gameplay, i was amazed by the environments in this dlc .

There is a new vehicle added in this dlc , The APC ( armed personnal carrier ) which can be used in all maps . mind you , the A.P.C is Bad@ss , it has changed the gameplay to a whole lot new level , the fights are now more interesting , especially capture the flag , the A.P.C if used properly can be a major threat to the opposite team , it has got a bubble shield like Halo 3 , its called Epod that warhawks cant even touch it . for ground troops the A.P.C is one major upgrade , another aspect is that you can respawn right inside it , it can hold upto 6 people , lets say if the apc is around enemy base , you get killed , you dont have to fly or run all the way to enemys base , you can respawn right inside the APC . both teams get APC , warhawk veterans like me dont mind to steal theirs too sometimes :twisted: :lol:. with benefits like respawing & shields in A.P.C , there are some disadvantages too , the A.P.C doesnt have a turret like you get in jeeps , so its quiet vulnerable to attacks from warhawks , a coupe of land mines or an airstrike can take it down in an instant , even flamethrowers can take the apc out in a very short time , if you happen to be supported by other teammates that carry wrenches , flamethrowers & rocket launchers equipped , then it can become a real threat for the opposite team to take down the A.P.C .

Warhawk s fast paced & balanced gameplay is what makes it an awesome online experience , plus unlocking medals , badges , ribbons ( like achievements are on 360 ) , ranking keeps every1 coming back 4 more . Warhawk Developer officialy revealed that Warhawk will support trophies with an update & will be retroactive , means if you have already ranked up a lot & unlocked medals & badges , expect a ton of trophies in your profile once the update rolls out . i like the achievements on the 360 , when i started playing warhawk , whenever i was rewarded for a medal or badge in warhawk , it felt much like achievements , its the reason i never got bored of warhawk ,there are tons of bages & medals i still need to unlock , but for the major part , i ve unlocked some of the hardest badges & ribbons , i need to work more towards getting medals now . the only problem for me last week was my old stats in warhawk , i wondered when i ll be getting psn card to get the dlc on my profile where i started playing warhawk first , not to mention , i had to pick a us ver warhawk in order to play dlc .

Last week i luckily got a U.S Version of Warhawk at a gamestore that imports a lot of games from the U.S & U.K , it was a single copy , it felt that as if it was waiting for me to be owned :oops: & today i finaly got my hands on a U.S PSN card , got it from EBAY via a friend of mine in the U.S . just downloaded both Omega Dawn & Operation Broken Mirror on my regular profile :),man............................. i feel so relieved that i cant tell you . now i have 3 copies of warhawk , US , EU & HK :lol: all is set now , after sooooooooooo manny amonut of troubles i went through,just to get my hands on the warhawk dlc , i ve finally resumed playing warhawk on my regular profile , my goal in warhawk is to be 1 day a GENERAL , it ll be one of the most rewarding things 4 me in gaming . i know that i am still a long way to get that rank , but 1 day i ll make it to the General Rank , speaking about Goals , My previous Gears of War goal that was to get 10,000 kils will be done right before gears 2 :wink: .

Bad Company Impressions

I Jumped into its online mode last nite , it supports 24 online , i had a blast last nite with my friends in bad company , i am rank 8 at the moment , rank 25 is the max , all the cl@sses are very well balanced , support cl@ss is now both an engineer & medic , for the most part i chosed this cl@ss, so far its been good , there is only one mode called Gold rush , one team has to defend two gold crates , the other has to destroy ,the defenders have to stop the attackers from destroying the gold crates ( its more like bomb the base ),once the opposite team runs out of reinforcements & thier bar gets depleted they automatically loose . attackers need to destroy these gold crates , once they have destroyed them , it becomes thier base & a new gold crate location is marked on thier map , once the attackers destroy enough gold crates & completely deplete thier team bars, they win . conquest mode will be added in futurte via dlc by ea , overall this gold rush mode is gr8 enough to spend time with , vehicle handling is not good at first , will take some time getting used to, fans of battlefield games will feel right at home , the weapons feel gr8 , sounds effects are cool , graphics are good enough , the destructible environments are awesome .

The frostbite engine does a gr8 job in handling bad companys physics , everything is desctructible . this time around there is a neat single player campaign around , i have only beaten the first mission , so far its good . overall its a gr8 game to what i ve seen so far , the maps are amazing , the gold rush mode never gets old at all . i ll post more of it in my next blog :wink: .

I might take a break from Blogging & gamespot 4 a while , you may have already noticed it , i dont blog here now that often like i used to be , there is a lot of reasons behing that, first things is that i ve got too much work in the office, i hardly get any time fior myself , i will try to be here as much as i can , i cant leave this community at all ,i love sharing my views on gaming with you guys , i love reading all of your blogs , i feel bad that i have still not commented in some of your blogs, but i will do that 4 sure whenever i get the time 4 it , hope you all understand ,i just cant be away from a community that rocks 24/7 . proud to be a member of this community & proud to have super awesome friends like you , rock on .

After 6 years i finally bought a new Sports Bike , oh yeah , a new bike , ever since my shoulder injury , i thought that riding a motorcycle to me was over , but since i recovered that injury sometime back i ve been searching for the right bike , & last week i finally made my mind & bought a Pulsar 220, its a 220 sports bike ,definately not that powerfull to what a Hayabusa is :P , but the definitive choice for me at this time . high end sports bike are not easily available here , we only have a limited number of imports here like the Yamaha R 1 & Suzuki Hayabusa , others bikes are all below 350 & 500 cc & are mainly street bikes or crusiers , not sports, i wanted a sports bike between 400 -600 cc, i was ready to get 1 , but the import duty is too high , almost 200 % , plus taxes & a lot of paperwork to import . so i made my mind & picked this 220 monster . & the fact that i have just recovered from my injury , getting a bigger bike like the busa willl be not advisable, other thing than that is that my budget was only for a 400 cc bike , but since there aint no 400 cc available here , i decided to get a 220 cc , i ll eventually pick a powerfull 600 cc bikwe in late 2009 or in 2010 , hopefully i ll have enough money by then . there is nothing in this world then buying something from your very own money . i feel very satisfied when i buy something from my own money . i used to be the most unluckiest guy in town . i didnt even had a video game when i was a kid , i used to play it in arcades . my mom gifted me A NES when i was some 8 or 9 years , but even then i only used to get it on weekends . when i asked for a ps 1 when it was released , my mom said focus on your studies & career your video gaming days are over , we wont buy you a new game console .

Look at me now , how things have changed , i bought almost every dam game console available on this planet & a truck full load of video games :P . at one point i even had to quit pc gaming coz of all the upgrade costs when i was in college, My last wish was to play Half-life 2 before leaving gaming ,but since video gaming never wanted to leave me , i luckily got a PS2 ,GBA , XBOX back in 2003 from all my savings , & later my mom gifted a new PC . Things like that always brings me back to gaming even i decide to leave it . as time went by , i focussed on my work & career 24/7, made enough money to get everything that i ever wished for . now when i look back , i see a winner in myself , i never thought that i ll move this far in life , i had a serious break up with my girl when i was 19,my career almost ended before it even began ,plus a serious shoulder injury to put the icing on the cake , i was devestated completely . but i never lost faith in myself, i faced reality , i promised myself that i ll move to the top 1 more time , once & for all , i ll be like i used to be when i was a kid , i had an awesome childhood , those days were the best that i can never forget , i had a real bad start when i was in college , all thanx to my girl , but in the end , all is well now , & i would like to thank my ex girl for that , its just coz of her that i had this will to be the best , to be the man i always wanted to be , woh , woh , woh , looks like enough talking now :lol:, i hope you guys didnt got bored , now back to gaming life which BTW is at its best .

The Third Coming

I am on third play with GTA IV :P, this time on 360 , GTA IV started growing up on me , i had a little dissapointment first after beating the campaign ,but then i played it again & i loved it more than my first playthrough . right now i am playing it on 360 , i ve not even touched the ps3 version in weeks:P , the online modes in GTA IV are too dam addictive , easy to pick & play , i had a blast last few weeks with my friends in GTA , we did some insane stuff , GTA online is too much fun especially if you party up with your friends , things got real crazy over the weekend , the online modes never gets too old , cops & crooks , turf war , deal breaker , gta race , team death match , deathmatch , hangnoose , there s soooooo much variety here , & if you are bored , there is always the free mode where you can just do anything you want , its to much fun , hopefully the DLC willadd some more variety to the existing online modes , i am glad that GTA IV DLC is delayed, already there are so manny games coming out , so i dont think that delay will cause too much of problems for gta fans , GTA online on 360 is way much better than its on ps3 , i never managed to get enough people on psn , on 360 i always get enough people mostly 8 0n 8 , on ps3 i have hardly got into a match where its 2 on 2 , may be now the online thing is fixed for psn , but now i ve got more than enough friends on live to play with , sadly there is not so manny people at psn with me that play gta . i was on psn for a very long long time coz of Warhawk , but now i have stopped playing it , the fact that sony still has not released psn cards dissapoints me a lot , i am over 210 hours in warhawk , wanna play it more , its just plain stupid for sony to region lock dlc in warhawk , i am dissapointed with psn a lot . may be the rumoured 2.4 FW will change that all , but for now i aint gonna be on psn frequently the way i used to be , i ll miss warhawk :(,1 of my favourite online games ever .

Pre Ordered This

I have always wanted to play this awesome franchise , i never got the time to beat any of the metal gear games , all thanx to the monster ps2 library & GTA games that i never got the time to play it , so now i ve finally started playing MGS 3 Snake Eater , absolutely loving it , hopefully i ll beat mgs 2 too right before MGS 4 arrives , i ordered the special edition 2 weeks back , i ll be getting it after 2 weeks from its release , play -asia usually delivers here in 2 weeks if its free shipping . so now i will have plenty of time to beat mgs 2 & 3 . i even picked up this

i bought this Mag especially to know more about the series , its a must have for mgs fans , i ve not read it completely , i ll definately do that once i beat mgs 3 or right before playing mgs 4 . I luckily got the Halo 2 guide , for me its plain treasure :oops: , the quality is top notch , i was lucky to found 1 here at a bookshop :wink:.

New Games

I picked up Tomb Raider Anniversary & Frontlines on friends recommendation , i loved tomb raider legends on 360 , it was also my first tomb raider game that i really enjoyed & completed , i hope Anniversary is as gr8 as legend was , Frontline is awesome , the campaign is excellent , online is pretty good , i ll hopefully beat it over the weekend :wink:.

Assault Heroes 2 - now this is simply the best arcade game that i ve bought on my 360 via XBL , co-op is xtremelly fun & satisfying , Assault heroes 2 is the definitive choice on xbl , the combat is very very satisfying , the action is fast , graphics are awesome , looks good or may be the best looking xbla game . overall the game length is quiet good , i enjoyed this arcade game on my 360 more than any other arcade , i highly recommend it to action fans , fans of old school action games will feel right at home with assault heroes 2 :wink:.

The Most Violent & intense game ever .

wanna talk about gore , just have a look at Ninja Gaiden 2 .

I got NG 2 last nite , beat the first 2 bosses , all i can say that its the most brutal , violent , toughest & satisfying game that i ve ever played , the ultra fast paced action , the awesome AI, & the flawless combat is simply the best i ve experienced in any video game , i never completed the original Ninja Gaiden on the xbox . i got sigma on ps3 too , but never got enough time to beat it , i like challenges & when it comes to challenges i dont have a better name than ninja gaiden . the game is really hard , but not impossible to beat , its very challenging & rewarding , the first 2 bosses were not that hard , but right from level 3 , the difficulty speeds up , i had an hour long dance with third boss last nite :lol: , i got pwned by him time & time , in other words i got my @$$ handed over to me :lol:., i ll try to beat that dude tonite , the first 2 levels are gr8 , the on screen action is ultra fast , you can just guess from the screenshots i took ,this game has got tons of gore & violence , the exceutions are vicious than ever , i am a big time god of war fan , i tried dmc 4 too , but there is absolutely nothing that can match the fast paced action ,A.I or combat that ninja gaiden is , this is strictly for the hardcore & those who like challenges, i came very close last nite breaking my 360 controller in frustration at third boss in level 3 , that dude is hard , i just figured out how to beat that dude , i ll hopefully get through with it , wish me some luck guys :P. i have 3 weapons , i love the lunar , the dragon sword is best for fast combos , i also got the dragons claw , they are very satisfying , my dragon sword is leveled up to the max , now its a lot more powerfull , Ninja Gaiden 2 is very satisfying & rewarding in the end once you beat a level , i experienced some slow downs right before boss 2 , thats the only time i experienced frame rate issues with it , otherwise its ok , hopefully a patch may fix that , NG fans will definately love it even more than NG 1 , new comers may just stop playing it after a while , & might come back later to beat it , Ninja Gaiden 2 is one of its kind , an experience that every hardcore game should try once in life , there is absolutely nothing like what Ninja Gaiden 2 is , xtremely frustrating , xtremely satisfying & rewarding , an experience of a lifetime :wink:.

Crytek launches info on Warhead

I am just soooooooooo dam excited that another crysis is coming this year :), Crysis is my current favourite along with GTA IV ,i was amazed when i beat crysis , it just made me satisfied than ever when i first played it , the environments ,the plot was just superb , the way crysis moved up in the second half of the game blew me off completely & i became an instant fan of the franchise , now Crytek is bringing warhead to PC this year , its a parallel story to the events of crysis , now thats a smart move by crytek, the only PC game that i was looking forward to this year was Far Cry 2 ( 1 of my favourite franchise ) Crysis warhead definately looks another top notch shooter this year . now i think that i have a problem :P, Gears of War 2 , Crysis Warhead & Far Cry 2 , all 3 of them are my top favourites , i love them all to death , & all 3 are gonna be out during the same time , I ll be wondering which 1 to play first , Gears 2 definately looks hot coz its a sequel that ll tell the story of sera , more like a deep info on gears of war universe .much like what halo 2 did . Far Cry 2 - a sequel to the original with a new charachter & plot with new settings , the most definitive game out of the 3 since its almost a new IP with far cry name in common , i wonder if jack carver makes some kinda guest appearnce here :P.

Warhead - will be more interesting since its a story parallel to Crysis , Psycho was 1 of the most rememberable charachters in crysis , cant wait to play crysis again this time with psycho . cant wait for all of them & already there s bad company , mercs 2 , saints row 2 , burnout dlc , mgs 4 on thier way :)

There comes a time in life where you feel satisfied & happier than ever in your gaming life, its a very different feeling inside you, you dont feel like touching any game at all ,such is the case with games like Grand Theft Auto IV, back in the year 2005 where i first played & completed GTA III ,Vice City & San Andreas all in a row , i instantly became a fan of the Grand Theft Auto franchise. it left a huge impact on my life . i ve never liked any more game franchises than the GTA & Halo franchise . these are the 2 franchises that have left a huge impact on both my gaming & personal life & after completing both GTA IV & Halo 3 . i have this huge satisfaction . Halo 3 & GTA IV were 2 of the most awaited games of all times . i had a ton of expectations from both of them , glad that both of these games lived upto my expecations .

Last monday i completed Grand Theft Auto IV .it took me some 33 hours to beat the campaign . i finished the story at 65% along with some side missions . feel free to read, i aint gonna post any spoliers here :P. with all the hype & the awesomeness of SAN ANDREAS ,my expecations with GTA IV was a hell lot more than any videogame. This time Rockstar went in a very different direction, focussing towards a much richer & deeper storyline & gameplay mechanics .the story mode this time felt realistic more than ever . at first it felt the same old gta that i ve played before , but later it started to turn into a very different direction . half way through the game i even stopped playing it for a while , & started to think what to do next . this time GTA s a lot different as you have to make choices around , so its upto you who lives or dies , in later parts of the game especially towards the end you have to make some real tough decissions that affect the storyline .

Combat has improved in a major way, the cover system works gr8 , its much like gears of war . not only that,the Auto Save feature & GPS takes out all of the frustration that were in previous gta games . loosing cops is a lot easier this time around if you are good at driving , there has been a lot of people complaining about how bad the driving is this time around , but i hardly ever had a tough time while driving , infact i felt driving a lot better this time .overall GTA IV is a lot easier than previous gta games , well that doesnt mean that you wont be beating all the missions in 1 go :P . there are still some missions that you ll be repeating to get it done , but personally i never had a hard time with any of the missions .

another great aspect of the game is maintaining friendships ,you ll often get calls from your buddies & girlfriends , you can even call them & hangout with them for some bowling , darts , pool ,you can hangout with them at strip clubs , restaurants , take your girlfriend to a date , get drunk , then drive her back home while drunked :lol:. maintaining friendships in GTA IV gives you some bonuses like such as being able to call a cab that will take you anywhere in the city for free, if you are good friends with Jacob , the Rasta/gun seller. you can give him a ring on your cell phone and he'll roll through with a trunk full of toys at discounted prices . My personal favourite charachter throughout the game was Brucie , the genetically jacked steroid monkey who loves cars, VIPs, staying alpha, and "putting beeche$ to the sword :P. If you and Brucie become close friends , he ll hook you up with a helicopter . through out the story , you ll meet numerous charachters , each depending upon the frienship level will unlock bonuses to you .

for Grand Theft Auto IV , rockstar created a new engine , The Rage engine , its a gr8 technical achievement fot the gta series to have some amazing graphics this time around , previous gta games were never that gr8 in the graphics department , san andreas pushed the ps2 s hardware to its limits , had some frame rate issues , but gta has never been a graphical beast , its all about gameplay & fun that matters most in gta games , luckily this time the graphics & gameplay are better than ever , not only that , the physics are just amazing , a very few glitches this time , a little pop up sometimes , but its barely there . The highlight in GTA IV is the city itself , its very lively , its based on new york but at the same time set in gta universe , times square looks & feels realistic than ever , there are tons of detail this time in gta , previous gta games looked gr8 on thier respective system but not that dam good,this time rockstar put a hell lot of detail , the environments are breathtaking . this time they focussed much towards the graphics & storyline . the storyline is very rich . its very well written , The games protagonist Niko Bellic is the best charachter that i ve played in the GTA universe , he s not the regular dude taking orders , doing this & that . what ever Niko does is for a reason , that s to survive in libery city . Liberty City map size aint that large , may be 1/4 of san andreas . but its highly detailed & nicely done . the story missions are great overall . 1 of my favourites is "Three Leaf Cover " . i enjoyed the second half of the game more than the first half . the last 7,8 missions were just superb , by the time i ended GTA IV , i felt there should ve been more of it , the missions could have had more variety . but then i though the other way , the game never felt like boring or something like its loosing its pace . so overall it was very satisfying in the end .

Grand Theft Auto IV is definately a gr8 addition to the GTA franchise but its not perfect , despite a strong charachter , rich storyline & graphics . I dont know but for some reason , i loved San Andreas more than GTA IV , i mean i never got that excitement & level of fun like i had when i played san andreas , i enjoyed the san andreas opening sequence much than GTA IV , the way the story progressed, the twists & turns , the huge giant size map , the 3 different cities along with area 51 , freeways , country side , the awesome charachters from the truth , mad dog , og loc , to woozie , the awesome rides with your homies ryder , big smoke , the awesome air planes , jets , the all time gr8 missions by Mike Torreno , the casino robbing mission , the jetpack area 51 MISSIONS & a perfect ending .

dont get me wrong guys , i aint saying that san andreas was a better game than GTA IV or vice versa . all i mean is that this time the storyline was solid , but lacked that excitement that i had with san andreas, in san andreas all 3 cities looked & felt entirely different , but here in liberty city , after unlocking all 3 cities , it all feels the same , i can understand what rockstar was aiming for with GTA IV & for that i dont have any complaints , but right after beating the game , the free roam stuff started getting old real fast , but hey there is the online multiplayer this time around :), the only sad thing is no co-op like san andeas had on the ps2 . i had 1 hell of a time with sandreas with my buddies in co-op . this time around its online co-op , so i dont have too manny issues with GTA IV , only if they could have made the map large & some more side missions like San Andreas had would have doubled the fun i am having at the moment . its just that my expectations where a lot & hopefully the next gta will have a bigger area , plus there is the Episodic DLC coming for 360 :wink:.

i ve been a huge GTA fan ever since beating san andreas , i was like , dam.... this game has everything i could ever imagine in a video game . but with GTA IV , its something different , the storyline felt very deep this time , the charachters were superb . it s still Grand Theft Auto , but a very matured & darker gta .the storyline deserves an Oscar for it is truly a Masterpiece :). its not that groundbreaking like GTA III did from 2d to 3d , but definately the best game that i played on this generation of consoles . a must play for everyone that owns an xbox 360 or ps3 :wink:.

I Finally got both versions of the game , both special editions :oops:, definately worth getting if you happen to be a GTA Fanboy :P. with that said , i hope you liked my very first blog review , i ve done this before manny times , but never put a score in the end . so here it is my final verdict on GTA IV .

Grand Theft Auto IV is 1 great addition to the GTA franchise , it lives up to its name & delivers 1 deep & rich storyline , with believable charachters in a believable world with amazing Graphics , Soundtrack & a variety of online multiplayer modes that grows on you :wink:.

10/10 .

The very first Gears of War 2 gameplay footage is out . dunno how manny times i ve watched this thing . it makes me satisfied & happier than ever that Microsoft has once again delivered on thier promises . unlike sony where they show a cgi & say its ingame :lol:.yet again another true masterpiece by epic. Gears of War 2= the new Halo of this Generation or even more than that . on the other hand , i need an answer from sony . The Delaystation has striked again delaying Killzone 2 , Home time & time again . i hate the fact that sony always delays things , home & killzone 2 better be good after all of this . I just cant express my happiness after watching the gears 2 footage . Killzone 2 , i am looking forward to it , but with delays time & time again makes me mad & dissatisfied. it almost kills the hype & all the excitement . i am a hell lot happier with the fact that 360 s still looking awesome with gears 2 . it makes me say. killzone 2 = what :roll: :P. Gears of War 2 = wow . dam.....i sound like a fanboy:lol: .

anyways , Gears 2 looks really solid than ever .Its bigger , better , more bad@ss than ever, it feels more action packed than the halo franchise has been to me all these years .i am excited for Gears 2 more than ever , i ve never seen a rocksolid action packed gameplay footage like this before . its what i expected Gears of War 2 to be like . a true rocksolid bada$$ blockbuster sequel :wink:. Back to Liberty City with NB :wink:.

Over the weekend i enjoyed Grand Theft Auto IV a lot . i have beaten around 19 % of the game , i have played it for some 9 hours . so far its been 1 hell of a ride , the first couple of hours is kinda tutorial mode to say the least , the gameplay mechanics have improved a lot , its no more frustating in any shape or form , The Auto Save feature , GPS & A Neat cover system takes out the frustation from previous grand theft auto games , the story missions are superb :). GTA has always been top notch when it comes to Story in video games . the first 7 or 8 hours felt to me the typical Grand Theft Auto that i know , you are still jacking cars , killing people , stealing cars , doing missions for people here and there. than slowly its turning out to be more realistic . everyone that has played GTA IV for the first 9 or 10 hours will say . its still the same GTA , but things start to change from here , the storyline feels more realistic , you have to make choices what you are gonna do . this is where all the fun starts . the charchters are awesome ,the storyline , dialogues are solid than ever .

Other thing is that the graphics are superb , The AntiAilising , Blur effects are the best that i ve ever seen in a video game , Frame Rate is solid , i never had any frame rate drops at all , the environments will keep on chaning, everything looks just too dam good , however at night, or should i say midnight, sometimes the textures feel not that good especially the background, feels kinda washed out visuals .they are not that noticable & i have got 0% complaints about it coz all of this runs at a solid frame rate .The fog & rain effects during night feels cool,:wink:. another thing thats really gr8 about GTA IV is the load times , there s hardly any load times this time , you can walk inside ,outside of a building without any load times . The environments inside buildings are highlly detailed whether you are inside a bar , strip club , bowling alley , internet cafe , etc . the adittion of internet is 1 gr8 addition that i really liked , well ofcourse its fake :P , but too much fun , you can now surf the fake web , send & recieve e mails . another gr8 thing i liked about is that you can hire a cab if you dont feel like driving from point A to point B , this comes handy when you have to reach certain areas or to a certain contact in time like going out on a date with your girl . lets say , if you are too far from your girlfriends house & she calls to pick her up in certain time , a cab is the best option to choose :wink:. you may have seen most of my screenshots are on a bike :P, well thats coz i love bikes both in real world & video games . glad that R* gaved me some cool ones this time too :) .

The pic above is now the space where you save your vehicles , its the yellow marked line on the road right outside your safehouse . i like this new addition too , R* has improved GTA IV in a ton of ways . i ve got sooooooo much to talk about GTA IV , these are just my first impressions , i know that its just the start , cant imagine whats coming next , i am gonna take my time , enjoy GTA IV on my couch & get back here later .:)

Finally got Dualshock 3 over the Weekend :) . i am happy with the fact that now i ve got a GTA & Rumble on PS3 :D . i ve said Ba Bye to Warhawk 4 a while :(, but hey , i still ranked up just before leaving it , i am happy that i got to enjoy sooooo much in warhawk , having played it for 200 plus hours, getting to cmd sergeant rank & so manny medals & badges in a very short amount of time feel very satisfying .well thats it 4 now guys , gotta go play some GTA now , c ya online :wink:.

I played it for a couple of hours , even went on a date with michelle :P , i am absolutely loving GTA IV , i wont be beating it in 1 sitting like i do with other games :lol:, i ll take my time , liberty city is awesome , the major highlight of GTA IV is the city itself , it feels so dam realistic , the graphics , environments ,everything is so dam detailed , this is simply the best gta & video game that i ve ever played . more on GTA IV on monday , i am turning off my cell phone now :P , gotta cell phone that roman gaved me in GTA IV, & it works really well .

on a side note, i highly recommend ps3 owners to play GTA IV ps3 offline , a ton of people are facing freeze problems on ps3 ,after reading a lot of news , its recommended that you log out of psn if you are playing the single player campaign , only log on if you wanna play it online , i have been playing it for nonstop 2 hours , no freeze problems at all , my ps3 is a 60 gig one , i hope you guys take this advice , it works :wink:
