Im sure you are aware that Crysis is the best looking game to date.

Also up there are Metro 2033 and Crytoasis, Youll need a powerful computer though. But when i think of games that made me stop and look at the environment, those are the ones.

Gaming laptops are bad. They run hot, have short battery life, and are usually quite bulky. Every person who has ever invested in one has ended up regretting it at some point.

I cant recommend any gaming laptops as i believe they are all bad. Build a desktop.

I think were just expecting it to be a successor to bf2. If it was not on consoles we would be expecting more than 64 players etc. I think most are just relieved that consoles hasn't totally held the game back and happy that we have those things.

pcgamer_07

Actually the 64 players is exclusively on the PC and I doubt there will be more. I wouldnt want that many players anyways.

The reason everyone is excited is because DICE is developing the game for the pc and porting to the consoles, not the other way around like they normally do.

The PC version will feel like a PC shooter, and have better graphics.

While I am not sure if the Crysis 2 MP demo looks better than UC2, I do know that UC2's graphics are overrated.

The third person perspective allows them to cheat textures by being further away, looking at anything close up reveals the flaws. Also many believe the cut-scenes use in game graphics but they do not. Take a look a Nathans face in actual gameplay compared to the cut-scenes, not the same.

God of War 3 is most likely the best looking console game, as KZ2 abuses motion blur and dark colors to hide bland textures.

Crysis 1 looks far better than any console game though and I think it is unfair to compare an MP demo to a completed single player game. When Crysis 2 is released and you have seen the single player gameplay for yourself, then you may decide if it is the best looking console game. Graphics usually take a hit in multiplayer, remember that.

I thought it was pretty scary but not as scary as Dead Space 1 & 2

HeavenIceDay

Im currently about 5 hours in to dead space and it is not half as scary as amnesia.

Firstly the music gives away any possible scare, as it alerts you as to when you will be attacked.

Secondly, when something attacks you, you shoot it and it dies.

Amnesia is a completely different animal. It doesnt need to use pop up scares because its environment is genuinely terrifying. Not to mention your attackers cannot be killed and you must hide in fear. The last games I played that seriously scared me were Condemned and FEAR(1 of course). And Amnesia is more scary than either of them.

get 212 plus to overclock that cpu. mine is at 3.2 GHz(can be way higher) without any voltage changes

sinpkr

I will definitely consider overclocking at some point, however due to money restrictions i will have to stay at factory clock. I still have to get a monitor and other accessories.

Sure you can hook up a mouse and keyboard. But it depends on game support and it usually doesnt feel right due to restricted frame rates on the consoles.

Also that link basically just said that they have never considered about it and are unaware as to if it is even possible. Doesnt sound like its going to consoles to me man.

Your feelings betray you.

The game will not make it to consoles as it is far too complex for a controller to handle. They have also confirmed that it is being developed for the PC alone.

I would rather get an Asus motherboard instead of MSI.

spacesheikh

Is there an Asus board in particular that you would recommend?

You did a very good job. You will need an OS though, Windows 7 64-bit OEM can be found for $110 canadian.

Also, do you plan on overclocking your CPU? If so an aftermarket cooler would be a good investment.

Tezcatlipoca666
I already have the OS, as for overclocking, i may in the future and will purchase an after market cooler when required.
