Not sure if off-topic is the right place to post this? PC Hardware didn't seem appropriate...

So my roommate and I just got a new internet connection (Time Warner Cable) and we're trying to get the Wi-Fi to work. We set up everything and our laptop receives the signals BUT they can't connect to the internet. The laptop says the connection is excellent, but when I try to open a webpage, it says address not found. So obviously the laptop is getting some signal from the router, but won't let it connect to the internet.

I hope you can help. Thanks.

My roommate and I just ordered standard roadrunner high speed internet for our apartment. Does anyone else use this? Is it sufficient for PC gaming?

That's really strange. No explanation at all for his weird behavior? I would go to the department chair and explain your situation.

Sometimes I feel like it doesn't have the magic it used to have. But its been a part of my life for so long that it the thought of abandoning gaming is out of the question. Its a difficult to phenomenon to explain. Anyone else ever have similar thoughts?

I was thinking about being a history major, but the biggest issue I have with it is that I don't know what the heck I would do after I graduate. What do you history majors plan to be?

In all honesty, once you start working, where you got your degree doesn't matter, it only matters if you put your education to good use.

Cpt-Obvious
Although this statement sounds true on paper, where you attended college definitely will have an impact on your future. The world is pretty superficial and looks highly on brand name schools. I would get more into this to justify my position but I am too tired at the moment. :(
