@Talavaj LoL seems to pull it off just fine and lacks those pay-to-win heroes and trinkets you speak of. The worst they have is double ip (unlocking crap points) and xp (useless after level 30).

The lack of a flashlight was annoying since the first day of Doom's release. The only benefit it could've possibly have given the game was an increase in the effectiveness of cheap jump scares, and few people would argue that Doom 3 was a lousy horror first and a fun FPS second.
As for MS3's ending, after 2 full games and loads of false promises, people have the right to complain about a bad nonsensical ending in 3 similar flavors.
Now go back to calling those you disagree with children and such Mr. Big-Boy-Pants, the rest of us will try having civil conversations.

Mass Effect 3 had no "artistic integrity" since the guy writing for the games jumped ship after 2 to work on his own stuff.
Why do people doubt games as an art form? Because you have a direct impact on the results? Because most of them are meant to sell? Do artist not frequently sell their own works? For every masterful composition there are loads of catchy commercial jingles. I personally think games CAN be art sometimes, just like movies and comics. Also like movies and comics, they can be altered to match public opinion better or be a hack job by a group of people with only a vague idea of how to work the story and are meant to sell first, emotionally convey crap second.
@nintendoboy16 Sega's rep went down because their general quality went down. What infamy? They were great and frequently pushed out the highest rated games of those gens! Making cards again and managing Love H-... I-I-I just-... WHAT?!?! Hang your head in shame for the insulting degree of ignorance you speak with!
