game-ster23 Blog

Two years of great times.

Today marks the 2 anniversary of making an account on this site. I have had fun times discussing my thoughts and feeling on variety of topics. In this blog I will be taking through memory lane mentioning forums I first posted on, Unions I joined, and mentioning a few great friends I met on this site.

Looking back at my posting history, I realized that I posted only at Sports Games Discussionfor about a month. I will be taking a look back at one of first posts on GameSpot.

Cavs are going all the way. King James was beasting it in Game 1 with 34 pts & 10 rebs. He's gonna do the same thing in game 2.

First of all, I would never say the word"beasting" again. And now I do not abbreviate hardly ever anymore. I find it just lazy to do that. This quote really doesn't sound like I would say this. :P Most of my first post were based around the NBA Finals that year. I also visited the How do GameSpot thread for some questions I needed answered.

The first few months on this site I had no clue what an Union was. I looked into them around June of 2009. I'm sure what Union I first joined, but I do know it based around Nintendo. I became an officer of that union and a union based on Legend of Zelda series. My first union I formed was the Super Toad Union. There was not a union just around Toad just yet, so I had to form it. There I met one of my firstGameSpot friends Juniorpowerand arline6, which is known to be dorthie2.The union did surprisingly well at first. After a few months there washardly activity there. I changed to Nintendo based, then TMNT. It given to someone else, and that person deleted the union all together. After the Super Toad Union, I joined the Mario Gamers Club. I was enjoyed visiting this union often. I met some great friends there discussing our thoughts on the Super Mario series. I become an officer there few months after I joined, then I became Co-leader of the union. I do miss the union very much. Nintendo Planet I also miss. Probably the union I spent the most time at. In the end, I became leader of the union. I met nintendo-naut, the-silent-hero, and many other Nintendo fans there. I joined many unions and met great people at everyone of them.

I met too many great people here on this site, and I would like to mention a few of them.

Juniorpower- One of first people I met on this site. He often helped me with the unions that I formed.

dorthie2 was alsoknown as arline6- She designed many tags for Super Toad Union and Nintendo Planet. Arline was always a great help.

gerudoman320- Such a great designer. He designed many of my theme back then. He is also a fan of TMNT as much as I am.

nintendo-naut- Great friend. Was never afraid to share his opinion I thought. :)

Nesysli- Also a huge fan of the Nintendo 64. We often played Super Smash Brothers Brawl online.

Javinho- Very funny dude. He is also great help with unions.

MayorJohnny- Very respectful member of this site. I haven't seen visit GameSpot lately. :(

the-silent-hero- Another helpful friend and hilarious too.

I realized that most of my friends here don't visit GameSpot that much anymore. I could mention all of my friends on this blog, but that would take too much time. :P I would like to post a few of my stats.

Happy Easter friends.

I hope that my friends here on this is site had a great Easter. My Easter was a great relaxing day, and I had some free time today. With that free time I had, I collected a few green stars on Super Mario Galaxy 2 this afternoon. I missed this title very much so.Now that it is spring break for me, there is some time to enjoy video games again. A couple weeks ago, I downloaded Plants versus Zombies on the DSi shop. The game is very fun and humorous. Thanks for reading this blog.

My thoughts on the visuals of the 3DS.

This blog will be short and sweet. My family and I visited a near by GameStop this morningknowing that there was a 3DS Demo Event today. The 3DS that was playable there had Super Street Fighter 4 3D Edition inside. I sort of regret going so early because I was half asleep while checking it out. I first checked out the system and 3D depth slider. Then I began to play Super Street Fighter 4 with a bit ofjust 3D, and I thought the visuals were great. My brother tried out one of the AR cards which he enjoyed the use of the gyro sensor. My brother will be buying a 3DS for his birthday soon. From what I seen so far, It is one great hardware. Sorry if this blog was rushed, I'm still a bit sleepy. I thank you for reading this rushed blog. Please feel free to comment.

Catching them all.

Last Sunday I bought a few great things. You probably know by the blog title that I bought Pokemon White Version. I'm really enjoying exploring the Unova Region so far. I just received by fourth gym badge. If you like to battle me soon, feel free to post yourfriend code.I also bought the Pokemon Black and Whitelimited edition strategy guide. Finally, I bought a new midnight blueDSi XL. I had the the original DS system and I knew it was time for an upgrade. I was thinking about waiting for the 3DS, but I'm not too excited about it just yet. I may buy a 3DS in a few years. I thank you for reading this blog. Please feel free to comment.

Another Recent Purchase + Pokemon Black And White Union

A few days ago, my mother bought me a used copy of the original Viewtiful Joe for the Nintendo Game Cube. I always wanted to give this series a try, and I'm really enjoying the game so far.

My Top 5 Favorite Games of 2010.

I didn't have time to post this blog yesterday, so I'll post it in 2011, when I have the time. Here we go..

Kirby's Epic Yarn Boxshot

5. Kirby's Epic Yarn. I was never a huge fan of the Kirby series, and that changed with this game right here. The gameplay was smooth and the graphics were so colorful and bright.

Pokemon HeartGold Version Boxshot

4. Pokemon HeartGold. I really enjoyed the original Sliver and Gold versions for the Game Boy Color when I was younger. I really enjoyed the remake as much as the original. Just monster catching fun.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 Boxshot

3. Super Mario Galaxy 2. I really didn't spend too much time with the original Galaxy when it was released. I knew that I needed to spend more time with sequel. But I stilldidn't collect all of the green stars, but I do plan to go to that after I finish Donkey Kong Country Returns.

GoldenEye 007 Boxshot

2. Goldeneye 007. Since I didn't get to play this original Goldeneye on the Nintendo 64, I had to give this remake a chance. I enjoyed every minute of this game. With the Single player and Multiplayer modes, this remake is great.

Sonic Colors Boxshot

1. Sonic Colors. I also never been a big of the Sonic the Hedgehog series either. I was always and still is a big fan of the plumber, Mario. But Sonic Colors was just great. The level design and the graphics were just incredible. This is my favorite game out of the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

Well, thank you very much for reading this blog. Please feel free to comment, and Happy New Year to all of my GameSpot friends. :)

Merry Christmas everyone.

Merry Christmas to all of my friends here on GameSpot. I'm going to make this blog sort of quick so I can start playing the games I received. As you seen on my past blogs, I bought quite a few things. My mother gave me money for Christmas early, so I got a lot of my gifts early. My gifts included Goldeneye 007, a few DVDs that I mentioned in a past blog, and more. I recently got the following...

Art Academy Boxshot

First off is Art Academy for the Nintendo DS. My brother gave me this game for Christmas. I often enjoy drawing, and this game is great for doing just that. You don't have to take your skecth book, pencils, and other art supplies. All you need is the Nintendo DS and the game card, Art Academy.

ModNation Racers Boxshot

Next up, my mother bought me this game, ModNation Racers for PSP. I played a demo of this around summer time, and enjoyed it. I'm a fan of that you can customize your Mod, kart, and even our own track.

Just Dance Boxshot

And last but not least, Just Dance. Even thought it received bad scores from GameSpot, I wanted to gave this Rhythm game a try. I really enjoy Just Dance so far even though I have asthma. :P

Also, I received a Donkey Kong yo-yo in stocking that I thought is pretty cool. Well, thank you reading this blog. Please feel free to comment and again Merry Christmas. :)
