Hey, having the screen shatter like glass and lead you into an encounter with a foe you could not previously see is immersive!

and could that very same statement (words altered for genre of course) not alsoapply to

what an amazing arguement you create :roll:

I'm not condemning the genre, I just think it's stalled compared to others.

And random encounters are a pet peeves of mine.

hmm i would have had to agree with you if not for FF12 bringing something new to the table, while JRPG's may have stalled up to that point (not at all a bad thing) in terms of future games it looks like they will be bringing more unique features to the genre and hopefully something as awesome as RE4's shoulder view :P

hmm i'd say only casual gamers enjoy playing every new iteration of a racing game, the 3 new paint jobs a year must be worth replaying the game :D

i think it will easily hit one million in a week unlikely in a day but possible, the fact that FF13 is coming out before it is gonna give it a good install base to start from.

actually they've said they plan to make a combat system that mixes FF12's and FF7's together, hopefully they decide to keep it

[QUOTE="Harbadakus"]

I like both... I haven't finished ME yet, but so far it has been pretty great. (only about 17 hours in)

I wish ME had more cities like Kotor, there's really only one city in ME which was disappointing.

Brutal_Elitegs

I agree more cities would have been great. KOTOR's locations had a city and a non city where the action takes place, all I can remember in ME is the citadel and Noveria if you can call that a city. Any to the TC's question, I must have recycled this answer 3 times already, but both have their good points over the other. KOTOR's characters were more interesting, you can't beat HK-47. The story in KOTOR is probably better, not by much but the twist in KOTOR gave it new light. The combat and dialogue in ME excel KOTOR by miles, although I do miss my light-saber. From your sig I see I will get nowehere, but KOTOR a horrible, unemotional story?... NO!

well really the story wasn't really that involving compared to say a lot of thoer RPG's :S it was a GOOD story to be sure, but it jsut doesn't have the actual STORYdepth you would get from a different RPG. your character not talking helped contribute to detracting from the stories impact on the player.

but just to be sure i might play through it again in the next day or so :D
