Now disable a core on the CPU and downclock to 2.1GHz. Take a 4GB RX 480, not 8GB as that's the entirety of the PS4P's total memory not just VRAM. Downclock the core and memory by 25% and you have a PS4P. The system in this article will outperform the PS4P by anywhere from 25-50% depending on the resolution and settings.

I felt like XBone is pointed at anyone but the twenty-something yr.-old male core gamer. Look at the reaction from the gaming community. Think it's moms and grandmas getting mad about this stuff?

@CaesarIIII @gamecubepad

Politicians will always make decisions that the general public will find stupid because they serve the special interest.

We all know all the "system" is failing. We know the news media is a cess pool of misinformation.

The only solution to the problem starts with the family. An issue that can't be addressed by politics.

This is called "Grandstanding". Take a tragic event from another state with no proven correlation to videogames, stand up in front of the cameras and tell the world it was because of videogames. Why? To push his own failed agenda that was struck down by the Supreme Court.

Media sensationalism is the real culprit here. They push this Sandy Hook tragedy down our throats every day for their own profit and political agenda.

It was a tragedy. Unforgivable. Yet, tobacco is killing 500k/yr. in the US. 50k are second-hand smoke related deaths, but that's not flavor of the month and doesn't have equal shock value as murdered children. So they'll continue to profit from death and blame games and guns.

It's all about gameplay, my friends. I can name hundreds of games that are masterful demonstrations of gameplay and controls. Even from back in the day. It's real-time, it's interactive. It's tons of fun, yet deeply moving.

Good article. Software will make the difference for the WiiU. Wii had great support for the first few years, then things thinned out. That controller better come with press-able analog sticks and analog triggers instead of shoulder buttons, or else...lol.

All these editors are very negative. Also, they seem to indicate that this is just another DS, not a new system like I thought. So how about the editors set this straight. Does the 3DS have the same DS hardware with the 2 ARM CPUs running at 67MHz and 33MHz, or is the a next-gen system with more powerful specs? Do you even know yourselves? If so, please let us in on your source, if not, why are you posting all this negative speculation? Also, what's with all the hate on the multiple DS models. In the U.S. Ninty has only release 3 models. Sony has released 4 models of the PS3 by that measure. Yet, I didn't here all this negativism when the Slim released. Mob mentality anyone?

@WKK That's cool. I'd say it's probably just random artifacts that they didn't bother to fix for one reason or another. It's alright to cite how much "effort" a developer puts into a game, but remember that not all devs can afford to spend 45 million dollars and hire 200 people like Konami did for MGS4. If anything, that shows some sort of weakness in that such a high level of investment is necessary to achieve decent graphics. Both machines are good in my opinion, it depends on the experience you want. As far as graphics goes, they're equal imo.

Interesting...2yrs in and the 360 is still keeping pace with the PS3, or perhaps even surpassing it. I'd say it's about even overall. That shadow banding in the PS3 version of Dead Space is awful. What's the deal with that?
