This game is a solid 8-8.5 i love it, but there are to many little issues to give it a perfect score, and compared to all the other great games that got 8's and 9's for the same thing, I get annoyed that they would act as though payment never effects their score.jay_lee112084

From the looks of things the Eurogamer revier is at the low end of the scale

This isn't a Ninja Gaiden 2 situation where AA scores seem to be the norm. I am a bit worried by some of Eurogamer's criticisms though and the fact that sites have been banned from talking about cutscene length

cutscenes are the worst thing about MGS games

MGS games are mostly aimed at mature gamers who can appreciate the game for what it is, MGS game without the mega cut scenes is not MGS, and I for one who invested large amount of my time playing almost every MGS game to know the story inside out, couldn't be happier with the reported long cut scenes.
