Operation: Firefox - Halo Anchorage- Alaska Wars-Mozilla Anchorage

First off, unscramble the title to reveal the purpose of this blog!

Starting off on this train of thought,

I realized that there are, count em, three Friday the 13ths this year,

February, March, and November

TRIPPY

Oh no, im losing the train of thought..

Uhm, speaking of superstitious phenomena,

So Im sure you've heard we're supposed to die in 2012? I think I may have discovered the exact date of our demise.

In my socials textbook, we learned about how Canada became its own country and isolated itself from britain, in order to prevent American Annexation.

Anywho, these crazy Irish people called the fenians attacked us, and man did they stink.

Anywho, the little tiny portion of our textbook that covered the fenians was classified as 2-29...

What could this possibly mean you say?

2nd Month,

29th day.

February 29, 2012. The day we die.

It all works out so perfectly, 2012 is a leap year, so yeah!

Mark it on your calendars.

Moving onto games,

I got Call of Juarez, which is a western shooter. It started off kinda shaky, but I really enjoyed it. The story was kinda cliched at some points, but that was probably the worst of it. It did a pretty good job of balancing the 2 parts (one is action shoot em up, ones more focused on platforming and stealth). Some of the little features and personal touches were pretty cool, like concentration mode, (being able to draw both pistols, slow down time, move two cursors around to hit as many targets as you can before they meet at the middle.) The duel aspect was also relatively fun.

Uhm, new semester at school. I got Math, Science, French and Foods. Math is review, science is review, French is review and new stuff, and tomorrow in foods we's cookin cornbread.

Dead Rising 2 is finally confirmed, WOOOOOOOOT. I hope Frank's still in the game.

I watched a Movie called Fear. It starts off as a cute love story and turns into a horror movie in the second half. While its not particularily scary (contradictory to its name), it was quite a hoot and I recommend it:P

Onto to the whacky bizarre title I think, unless i can think of anything else.

Mozilla Firefox!

Google chrome crashed several times on me, and Internet Explorer is ridiculously slow, so Mozilla Firefox is presenting this blog to you nao!

I played the Resident Evil 5 Demo. Its fantastic, cant wait for it to come out.

I also downloaded Halo Wars, and Ive played it thoroughly. I had absolutely 0 interest in this game, but i played it anywho.

My verdict? It's not bad. Coming from a guy who doesnt much care for RTS, I guess that means a lot sort of.

It seems like its trying something new which is always good, and its relatively successful in doing so. All the little ways of upgrading units with upgrades from the halo universe is kinda neat and clever as well.

So yeah I might end up purchasing it sometime later, or get someone too for me (birthday).

I bought points yesterday, which means I got a few new RB2 songs, which my selections seemed like good choices, but werent as fun to play as I had hoped.

I also bought Operation Anchorage, The first Fallout 3 DLC. Man Do I less then 3 it. It only took me about 4.5 hours, so I guess for 10 bucks that could be considered as unacceptable. However, it reacquainted me with Fallout 3, and reminded me how damned fun it was. Plus it gives you some oh so neato goodies to part with, so yes it was worth the money. Plus i finally hit level 20.

I guess this blog was really a quantity over quality sort of deal. Oh well, it's been a while since I blogged and I had lots to say with half baked explinations!

To those who continue to read, I thank thee, times thrice for those who read the whole shebang.

oh, and I also spiraled (am currently spiraling) into one heck of a deep depression. Oh well.

Happy valentines and friday the 13th and all that if im not around.

Till next time kiddies

Oh yeah I forgot

I forgot to post this, in a prior blog I said I would but it didnt work so here goes

1) No its not photoshopped, i really suck at that business

2) Nobody photoshopped it pour moi

3) Little Children! It's not a scary popup, but I do advise you look really closely and turn up your volume so you can see the thingie

What a blasphemetic blog title eh?

Wrong!

Special and Goat are 2 acronymns in Fallout 3 standing for:

Strength
Perception
Endurance
Charisma
Intelligence
Agility
Luck

Generalized
Occupational
Aptitude
Test

HA thats not even the clever part. I have cleverly taken both of these and formed my own special acronymn:
S
P
E
C
I
A
L

Gameshark5's
game O f
two thous And eight
The year

well it almost worked:P

I'll be honest, I havent played every single game that came out this year, but I've played the majority of the bigger titles. I've yet to play Fable 2, but I highly doubt it will come even close to how much I enjoyed Fallout 3. If it happens though, I'll post another blog, just dont count on it. The only game I havent played that I think may have had a chance is MGS4.

Which reminds me, for those about to say: GTA4 10.0 WTF!

Have fun.

Here is my general consensus (?) of Fallout 3 in a nutshell. Theres plenty to explain, but I cant find words to explain it. Here's what I ended up coming up with:

Fallout 3 is one incredible game. It brilliantly combines a strong story you can mutate to your hearts content with fantastic gameplay, altered to something not seen before. It gives you realistic choices with perhaps even moreso realistic consequences that change the entire game, just as they would change life itself. Once you begin to play, you're going to fall in love with Fallout 3, it's just that simple. War may never change, but one thing thats for certain is that the video game industry is. We're constantly seeing change and evolution with each passing title. Fallout 3 is one of those games that has evolved so much and come so much farther then most of the titles gracing consoles this year. Though the final choice was rather difficult, Fallout 3 stands just ever so much taller then the rest of what 2008 had to offer.

So there you go kiddies,

Gameshark5's fabled and highly anticipated (figuratively speaking that is;P) Game Of The Whole Wide year.

Be sure to post your Game of the years down below!

Parade Rainer

I do hate to be this guy, but I am now known as:

Gameshark5

Rainer onner of parades

Allow me to elaborate. As expected every year, I've seen the many Happy christmasy blogs, and unfortunately, I'm the one who will be complaining about mine:P

So to begin, lets go back to where it all began...

December 12th: The Last Day of School
-The whole day went relatively smooth, in Planning I slacked off/worked on my website.
-In Socials we watched the one and only christmas movie, A Christmas Story.
-Gym was kinda lameskies, we played indoor Soccer. It was the 3 super soccer fanboys VS Me and my pathetic little unathletic squad:P
-English was the real only buzzkill, we had to do an in ****essay. Super duper lameskies to the maximum level of infinendum.

The rest of the day was chill, sounds like a perfect intro for Christmas Break?

...Most certainly not.

While I could go very much in depth with this next section, lets just summarize the whole affair.

December 13-December 24:
-12 consecutive days of work for a total of 81 hours.
-Super exhausting D:

Silver lining D:

December 25
Chreeestmas Day
Had a reasonably good haul.

On top of a whole mass of clothing, I got Fallout 3, Fable 2, Prince of Persia, Cologne, a Shaving kit,
And chocolate: D

The rest of December 25 and 26 I spent doing absolutely nothing of even minor significance. And I loved every minute of it.

December 27th however, I had to work. Agaiyn D:

I did manage to pick up a new grill and a copy of Resident Evil: Degeneration (With a Free T-shirt that nobody should
ever wear in public :D...that I happen to be wearing right now D:)

Then there was today.

Beginning todays events was the fact that Wanderlei Silva lost to Rampage Jackson. -25 bucks for me.

Also, though the Patriots beat Buffalo today, they didnt make it into the playoffs. Also, the Jets lost,
and as a result are not in the playoffs either.

Come on Indianappolis!

Hokey doke.

To make the next portion of this blog less confusing and less personal, I'm going to number people off.

We get a phone call from Aunt number 1 who says that Aunt number 2 is doing very poorly in the hospital
Our family packs up our stuff and heads for out of town. The roads are terrible. There is snow everywhere, and the snow mixes
with a deadly combination of wind which makes a blizzard. We cant see a goddamn thing on the highway.
Slowly but surely, we arrive in town, and we're mortified at the conditon of my aunt.
We stay for a little while and then head out in hopes of getting home before the weather worsens.

We leave the hospital and head for home...
...5 minutes into our drive home, we get another call.

Aunt number 2 has flatlined and my mom breaks into tears.I've never seen her like this before.

To tell you the truth, I cant believe she's gone. I mean literally. I dont think its sunk in that shes actually gone yet.

Rest in peace.

Transition into a slightly less morbid topic

Fallout 3 = I can has puppy :D
The dog in fallout 3 is fantastic. I really don't think I wanna go any further in the game without him.
Oh, and Fallout 3 is leaning towards being my Game Of The Year 2008, its getting ever so close, though I havent played Fable 2 just yet.

Prince of Persia is going relatively smooth as well, I think theres a few pacing issues that are holding its
true potential back.

Anywho guys, I'm gonna sign off for now gang,

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a happy hangover.

Till next time!

Suicide Missionary

=Me

=I beat Gears of War 2 on Insaneo

=BY MYSELF

=Well sort of, I had help with one, 2 minute portion.

=Damn you Trey, why'd you have to help me:P

After winning the game on insane, I can safely say its not as hard as Gears 1. There were several parts that took a long time to complete on Gears 1, almost in a trial and error fashion. Gears of War 2, had some, but they werent as difficult as the ones in the first.

In case your wondering, Gears 2 on insane starts off pretty difficult:P

The difficulty continuously increases over the acts, it does not decrease:o

That is until a certain part. I do believe the difficulty in Gears 2 peaks in Act IV. There were a certain few parts that really gave me hell. So much hell that, hey controller punching and throwing at the ground began again (been a while since ive done that>__>)

However, on the last chapter of Act 4, the difficulty starts to decline. Not to say the game stops being difficult, but the approaching battles arent nearly as devestating as prior ones.

So yah there you go. Now i just have to wait a few years for Fallout 3 to arrive and then I can play that:D

Gameshark5's ficticious fact of the day:

90% of all quitters never win.

Until next time

Who Wears Short Shorts?

Not I. Not today.

Just thought I'd share that I had a gruesomely depressing day, but the silver lining was hat I FINALLY beat Green Grass and High Tides on expert.

I Used To Rule The World...

(Play the song)

"...Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sweep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing:
"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
Once you know there was never, never an honest word
That was when I ruled the world

It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become
Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever wanna be king?

I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world

Hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world"

Not a big fan of Coldplay, but this one has been wedged in the deep pits of my mind.

Apologies for the depressing blog last time, my emotional and mental state seem to be a little better nowadays.

I tore through the Halo 3 campaign with a pistol (whenever I could get a Pistol, I used it, otherwise i used a battle rifle).

I went in Hartigan like too8) (Came in stealthy, lined up the shot, and boom headshot.
You'd be surprised how effective a magnum headshot is, only had troubles with Hunters really.

Hartigan by the way is a guy off of Sin City (Bruce Willis in the movie). His belief was that your better off lining up the perfect shot then wasting clips.

Man im tuff:P

Beat Star Wars : The Force Unleashed, both the Good and bad ending. For those who want to know, good ending FTW.

Black saber is super BA too.

Anywho though, im signing off.

Long Live Life

(Bonus marks for those who can find the relevence of the last statement to this blog)

The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

The Good:

Halo 3 disc came in from repair, started dating this girl which made me super happy, joined a martial arts program, Fallout 3 looks Sick.

The Bad:

Rock Band 2 hasnt come in yet, girlfriend dumped me which makes me very depressed, this girl also is in my martial arts program and walks with my friends there, I've got work every day this weekend, and I've got so much homework that I have to bring it to work and do it on my lunch break, 8 of my knuckles were torn open, and right now I'm tired of life.

The Ugly:

Life goes on.

Hows everyone else doing
