I've heard a rumor of The Longest Journey / Dreamfall Movie being made!
That would be cool if they do it properly!
What actors / actresses would you pick and for what characters???

So am I!
If you really are god, then put kate beckinsale in my bed now! And ill be a nice human for the rest of my life :)
Kate Beckinsdale was only fit in Underworld! She's not too hot in anything else!
I beg to differ. She was really hot in Adam Sandler's "Click"
I don't know! Seeing her out of Black PVC seems wrong, as she wears it so well!

It was a massive step forward in the cinematographic, intense game genre, but proved to be a generally good game aside from that. Revolutionary isn't the right word, but it is a step in the right direction for the specific genre. I enjoyed the game more than the average FPS, but less that CoD1.YourOldFriend
Massive Step Forward???
Were you drunk playing it?
It is literally cinematography, in every sense of the word! You get to sit back and watch the best bits, or just follow another character while he does cool stuff! The specific genre you're talking about seems to be the FPS genre, and this is definitely not a step in the right direction it is a major leap backwards!
far from a letdown, I haven't met a single person that found it a letdown besides some people on the internet, but pc gamers are probalby the most stubborn gamers of all and they are always going to have arguments that the older version is better than the newer or vica versaMapleleafs4life
I didn't find it a let down either!
It was exactly what I expected! More mindless CONSOLE blasting! Fun for about 10 minutes, then boring, then "get this rubbish off my laptop". PC Gamers are used to more intelligent gaming thank you very much, not afraid of change at all, just sick of Xbox & Platstation "low-brow" & "quick-fix" psuedo entertainment.
Found a great site for Game Soundtracks!
It free and has a listing back as far as C64 days! You can download top quality MP3 format sound for free!
Got the entire TLJ original soundtrack and also some Dreamfall stuff!
Go to http://downloads.khinsider.com/ well worth a look!
i really did not get anything of the story in the longest journey even though i finished it just cause it was fun never did get to play the original game though and as far as episodic chapters go i hope it doesnt turn out to be like hl2 where valve promised us an episode every 6 months and its been quite a while ever since ep2 was released but we still have no news on it i would rather see a full fledged game instead

Not a big Half-Life fan myself! Have HL anthology, HL2 & Episode 1! Don't really see what all the hype is about, but I was always a Deus Ex fan at heart!
I see what you mean about the waiting period between Episodes when a game takes that direction though, but its never a good idea to listen to developer release date estimates! Hopefully when the TLJ series is finished there will be a package with the entire series to buy! I will still buy the episodes though!
You need to get your hands on the original game though, its looking dated now but the story and gameplay is as great as ever!
Has anyone seen the wikipedia project for The Longest Journey / Dreamfall!
Found @ www.tljwiki.com it was brilliant, everything you could possibly know about the TLJ universe, but last week it dissapeared! What happened??? I'm so annoyed about it!
No but Ragner and the rest at funcom have mentioned an interest in making a mmo set in the TLJ universe in the future. But this will be after TSW and the dreamfall chapters. TSW has been in production since before dreamfall its an original IP.
I think TSW will be sort of like a mystery action survival horror themed mmo. Its set in real world cities, but its all about this conspiracy, this cover up for the past few hundred years that magic exists. Except when we are talking about magic we are not talking about the tolkenesque elves and orcs type of fantasy. No this is the scary stuff. It seems like TSW got a lot of inspriation from the Cthulhu mythos.

I see! I thought that TSW was the MMO based on The Longest Journey / Dreamfall! Thanks for clearing that up! So what info is there on the TLJ universe MMO?
Whats the point of having a membership if you don't get perks?King-Bart
Fair point! But surely having a free membership is exactly that "Free"! I understand that payed membership should entitle you to more, but would it not be OK to give out the guides for free after 5 years to free members!
That way the paying member gets them right away and when the game has past its prime, the free members could have the guides for nothing when Gamespot has already made as much money as its going to from that particular guide!
