[QUOTE="ColdP1zza"]

[QUOTE="daniel79"]

What a load of guff.

Piracy didnt help kill the PSP over here at all, lack of support did. Just take a look at most of the gush titles on the PSN for the PSP, most of it is crap. Sony just dont want to get their head out of their arse when it comes to getting titles on their systems over here in the west, at all. Look at the Ps1 back catalogue on the PSN, rubbish. Have we even got Crisis core for download? Nope..

To think piracy is killing the handheld is deluded at best and almost as as deluded as SCEE or SCEA are. You can emulate on old PS1, N64, SNES, whatever, games on phones nowdays so much easier than you can play actual money bought games for the PSP! (The BLINDING fact that the games are not there to buy even though they exist for the platform and sell in other countries..)

when consumerism gets like that how can you blame pirates? At all? It's down to the company who dont want to get the software on the system they are selling...

How anal they are with the system and how many you can "Have" tied to one account is another factor. It's a great little handheld with so much potential bogged down by so much red tape and nonesense. The Vita is even WORSE for this!

The game prices stink on the PSN to boot. I'm supprised it's got this far in the west. That in itself should be seen as an almighty achievement by one of the most anal corporations going..

to blame pirates is the easy let off for Sony and an easy bleet for the sheeps.

Sony just dont ever learn, period. They seem to be their own worst enemy and I'm so supprised they've got this far in the west when you look at how the operate. It's very, very simple. Get the games out on the platform to buy, have less restrictions and people will happily buy it AND the games. HOW HARD IS THAT TO UNDERSTAND? A child could come up with that.

Why multi billion pound coporations cant and then blame piracy is far and away beyond me..

:roll: The reason there was a 'lack of support' was BECAUSE of the piracy. If you honestly don't think piracy was one of the major problems that plagued the PSP, you are just blind to the facts. If you did any research at all, you'd see the unbelievable rates of piracy. Games like God of War and MGS: PO were download hundreds of thousands of times via torrent sites and the sales numbers were pretty low.

If you'd actually ever spoken to anyone whose ever developed on the PSP you'd know better. It's not just Sony whose blaming the pirates kid, its EVERYONE whose tried to make games for the PSP.

God of War and Peacewalker are terrible examples because they sold very well for a handheld game. Piracy may be a problem but it's not as big as most people think it is.

he wasnt talking about peace walker he is talking about metal gear solid portable ops
