He's not saying he's unique because he owns a PS3. I actually agree with the guy. Maybe he's phrasing it wrong. For me I like how the 360 is what all the kids and people are crazy about and how only a few people recognize the superiority of the PS3. I mean if you tell people that the PS3 has better exclusives according to the ratings and the facts they won't believe you. This kid's point is that it feels good playing online and not having to worry about getting screamed at by self-hating "my parents don't love me enough," sort of kids. Yes, that's one of the things I actually love about the PS3. It's something that shows standards and promises that it follows up on. Lots of people "Jump IN" to the 360 because its popular. LOL I was talking to this kid who said he wanted to buy a 360 just to play MGS4 I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. And then he was one of those people who thought they knew everything about tech and gaming. He went on arguing with me that MGS4 isnt a PS3 exclusive. TC don't listen to these people. They know exactly what you're trying to say, unless they're-like you said-360 owners. The PS3 doesn't provide uniqueness, just the illusion of it. What I mean is, it provides you with the feeling of owning something that only a few people understand why its something worth owning. It makes you feel like you're part of something...classy. Honestly, I held this philosophy that the 360 and PS3 are the only contenders in the SW but seeing as the PS3 is slowly taking over...it seems like the 360 is just a weaker version of the PS3....Both target basically the same audience. I like to think of the PS3 and 360 as Mercedes BENZ. They have classes for their vehicles... E class, C class and forth. The PS3 is the higher class while the 360 is the lower one... But, the classes appeal to the same audience...those who like mercedes? LOL that was a terrible analogy but you get the point. Thank god i have eventually found a fellow fan-wank, insecure, weird, 12 year old boy that agrees with me.
For people who say this should be in the playstaion forum u might want to read the opening post again.
and with the price thing, i wrote this quite a while ago for the playstation forum and for this forum a simply copied and pasted it over so that bit is now unvalid. and maybe unique is the wrong way to put it. maybe more individual or are u just going to abuse me again for using that word?
