There is the reason why publishers/devs are trying to take a cut of used game sales as they are not realising their full sales potential. Though if 3 miilion+ sales = failure then the company is clearly spending too much on marketing.
Games I've been wanting to play but cant justify full price, wait til price significantly drops and then buy new - £15- £25 limit.
Games that I am curious over but not that bothered about and come across cheap - usually new. £15 or less.
Digital purchase - never unless exclusive to PSN etc.
Pre owned - In any of the above cases only if they are like new and are more than £5 cheaper. This is quite uncommon - Amazon are good for prices but it can happen.
I always buy on-line - never in store.
All games are eventually sold on eBay unless they are classics I must keep - e.g. MGS4, Fallout 3, Skyrim, Dark Souls, Red Dead etc
On the other hand, I see why they reversed their policies and I am a prime example - I have now re-ordered my Xbox One. Tricky predicament to be in for Microsoft. Either way, this is all very damaging to Microsoft.
