Play ARK on the switch. That console runs it under 20FPS and its horrendous. There are some games that don't even belong on the switch.

I've done the no cut screen mod on my GBC. That screen looks way better than the stock screen with no back lighting. My next mod for my GBC is the clean amp mod with a replacement speaker.
On my Sega Dreamcast I've done the GDEMU Pro, fan mod, Pico PSU, and the 3d printed tray. For video output is use the Akura for flawless display.
On my Sega Saturn I've installed the Terraonion MODE to replace the disc drive. I also have a second Sega Saturn I did the Fenrir mod.
I've installed an openxenium modchip, replaced the clock capacitor, installed a bigger HDD, and replaced the disc drive on my OG Xbox.
Lastly, I took a PS3 slim 2000 model and installed custom firmware on it.
I seen youtube videos when the PS3 starts overheating the repairs have to do with reballing the processor and the GPU. Do you have a repair shop that will take it in to fix it?
I would say it's an underrated console. Which is the last console Nintendo tried to compete with the competition on hardware. The only mistake was the media. The mini disc format has storage limitations.
I think it takes us back to simpler times. Not having to worry about adult problems. Most of my friends that would couch game with me are always working or live far away. I'm in my 30s and back in my childhood years internet was just barely getting big. Gone are the days of grinding ultimate mortal kombat 3 with friends to see who can pull off the fatalities in the guide book.
I can sit down and be thoroughly satisfied after playing Streets of Rage. So far I can only make it to round 7 on normal and by myself.
@stacweed11: check these two out:

or
https://www.amazon.com/CyberpowerPC-Xtreme-i5-10400F-GeForce-GXiVR8060A10/dp/B08FBK2DK5
Both are under 1,500 dollars and are more than capable to get you started PC gaming. I've bought Cyberpower PCs before and I highly recommend them.
