I see no real reason to get it on the PS3.

-The 360 version is the only version that has been shown to the public

-Bethesda games always run better on the 360

-The 360 gets two DLC packs each exclusive for 30 days

A 93 on Metacritic so far, making it the highest rated racing game of this console generation. That leaves Forza Motorsport 3 in second place with a 92 and Forza Motorsport 2 in third place with a 90. It's pretty clear that Forza is the definitive racing series of this gen.

[QUOTE="SpinoRaptor24"]Oh nice a 9.5. Higher than any PS3 exclusive this year. 360 wins yet again.BlackoutGunshot
Yep, that's for sure. I guess I have to go back to playing my flops, LBP2, Killzone 3, Resistance 3, Infamous 2, GoW Origins, Team Ico... knowing that they are all beaten by the mighty 360 and it's one, badass action-packed AAAAAAE blockbuster exclusive: Bros of War. Have fun with your only exclusive of the year.

Only exclusive of the year...? ROFL, someone's mad!

2010 June NPD - (for comparison)

Nintendo DS - 510.7K
Wii - 422.5K
Xbox 360 - 451.7K
PlayStation 3 - 304.8K
PSP - 121.0K

Stevo_the_gamer

Hmm. June is normally that solid with console sales? Odd, I figured it wouldn't be so hot. I guess this month isn't so different afterall.

Except the 360 slim launched last June. And we know that the 360 doubled sales of the PS3 and Wii this June.

The 360 sold more than last June, and last June the new Slim model released. Holy ****!

So use semantics to make out like Sony came out on top right? lol LA noire was number 1 in software sales, Duke was number 2...Infamous number 3.

finalstar2007

Let me explain this then :)

Infamous 2 was the number 1 software title in June by each individual SKU'Software. meaning the old way NPD used to do it, NPD now pretty much combine everything from every console or system, so when combining all platforms La Noir comes above it as it contain 2 platform sales. going each by individual again infamous is at 1 then la noir and so on :). that is very impressive for infmous 2, game is amazing! and still no exclusives for 360.........

Not impressive at all. It's one of the slowest months of the year for new releases. And inFamous 2 has only sold half a million worldwide so far. And don't even start talking about the 360 when it just outsold the Wii and PS3 COMBINED in June.

Holy ****!

"Halfway through 2011, Xbox 360 maintains its lead in the U.S. console market, selling more units in the U.S. than any other console for 12 of the past 13 months. Even while console and software sales across the industry have slowed, as often happens in the summer, Xbox 360 continues growing, staying on track to have the biggest year in Xbox history in the sixth year of its lifecycle.

June 2011 NPD highlights include:

  • Holding 48% share of the overall current-generation console market share,Xbox 360 sold 507,000 units in June, selling nearly twice as many units as other current-generation platforms and maintaining the number-one console spot in the U.S. for 2011. Additionally, Xbox 360 was the only console in the U.S. to show year-over-year growth in the month of June. (Source: NPD Group, June 2011)
  • Total retail spend on the Xbox 360 platform in June (hardware, software and accessories) reached $350 million, the most for any console in the U.S. (Source: NPD Group, June 2011)
  • During the month of June, three of the top ten console game titles were for Xbox 360 including: "L.A. Noire," "Duke Nukem Forever," and "Call of Duty: Black Ops." (Source: NPD Group, June 2011)

With the holiday season and major launches just around the corner, the second half of 2011 promises to make Xbox 360 history. The size of the Kinect games portfolio will triple by the end of the year and Xbox will bring new partnerships like UFC and Disney to the platform as well as blockbuster games, movies, music and TV together in one place. We expect Xbox 360 to maintain its lead and to be number one worldwide by the end of the year, selling more hardware units than PlayStation and Wii."

[QUOTE="ABCarmine"] Probably, only those two would bring up Hardware sales in a Game sales thread.....ABCarmine

The main thing everyone looks for from NPD is hardware sales, and Sony is the only one who never says their hardware sales and goes into major damage control mode every NPD day. Microsoft talks about their hardware and software sales, because both are incredible.

I couldn't care if sony had 50 million consoles sold or 2, if they have great exclusives and Great features than I don't care.

Then you probably shouldn't be in an NPD thread if you don't care about sales.

[QUOTE="themyth01"] So where are the hardware numbers?ABCarmine

the same response within a minute of each other...possible 2nd account?

The main thing everyone looks for from NPD is hardware sales, and Sony is the only one who never mentions their hardware sales anymore and goes into major damage control mode every NPD day. Microsoft talks about their hardware and software sales, because both are incredible. We have to wait for the PS3 hardware numbers to leak from some other source before we can laugh at them.

And it's funny that Sony would brag about having the #1 selling game in a month with almost nothing releasing. inFamous 2 has only sold a little over half a million so far, after all.
